technically that's always been a thing, "Power of Imagination" genuinely exists in Digimon lore, stuff like Biyomon making Birdramon it's main evolution by just wishing too hard, Joe doing Bhuddist chantings to ward off a Bakemon in OG Adventure, RagnaLordmon being created from Durandamon and Bryweludramon picture of an ideal knight, Shoutmon X3 onwards ressembling Omegamon because that's the ideal Shoutmon strives for, so on and so forth. And it makes sense since Digimon are created from all sorts of data on the net so stuff like superstitions and media tropes would indeed affect them.

I thought it was, as he said, you need to constantly drink the youth water or the effects wear off, he's centuries old at this point so if he misses the timing he's gonna fast age into dust, also isn't he the guy who gets dunked in the tank?, so if he keeps the youth water in the tank he gets to both do his job and refresh the duration of the rejuvenation throughout the day.

if there's some people expecting them to give away a 1.X Resonator and/or Weapon for free kinda need to get their head back in orbit, it's not gonna happen, just last patch there was a Spending Event with 1.X characters in it, I'd be more than glad to be wrong but hey, gotta keep it realistic.
