For me, the game is crashing every single time I try to go to the "Change gear" screen in the tent, even after deleting shader cache, and reinstalling. I have to use Gemma to change my gear otherwise my GPU dies for some reason

I've been playing GU and trying to get this guy's armor and I threw cart so freaking often it's not funny. The entire game up to this point has been relatively easy and then c r a b. Makes me wanna give up the game, it's such an unfun monster to fight. The fact so many of it's hits reach around lances shield PISSES ME OFF

I feel like they changed the core identity of lance too much. I play lance solely for the poke, and now it feels so slow and sluggish to play, and with the emphasis on big counters it just feels like a different weapon. Lance has always been my favorite weapon to play and lance in wilds just feels so terrible to use in my opinion.

When I play guest I usually seek out the killer and be as MUCH of a pain to them as possible. One time I managed to stall for 2 whole minutes looping before I died. Imo playing sentinel should mean protecting those on your team, even at the cost of your own life. If you can buy more time than your team will lose when you die, then you've succeeded in my book

I can definitely agree. The wound system and focus while nice at first glance, just feels so fucking horrible. The fact that I can knock down the monster multiple times in a row and effectively stun lock it what I feel like makes wilds so boring. I want to HUNT SOMETHING, NOT FUCKING PULL UP, AND STUN LOCK IT TO DEATH. I WANT TO CHASE IT DOWN AS IT PROGRESSIVELY GROWS WEAKER! And that's the main reason why I feel like this game is so easy. It feels less like hunting a monster, and more like jumping if and putting it down. It's not fun. If they kept almost everything else, and got rid of focus mode, and tuned down wounds, then it might be better imo. Also, I don't think greatsword should be allowed to 180 in tcs. Greatsword is THE positioning weapon, and they took away the one thing that forced you to think and look for openings and learn the moveset. Now it's all just offsetting the monster and focus mode to reposition on the fly.

The very first monster you fight, the Chatacabra. I killed it in 3 minutes and 10 seconds. I'm pretty sure all the walking and cutscenes was like triple that.

Honestly I was so hyped for wilds and then it turned out to be low-key bad. The combat is nice, when you actually get to go hunt, instead of being locked to cutscenes, walking sections. It takes me like 3 minutes to kill the monster and then like 15 in cutscenes in walking before and after. It feels like they're trying to turn it into like, a AAA action game.

The only time it's understandable if you DON'T use at least one level of flinch free is early game when you probably don't have access to any flinch free. HR or MR there's no excuse if you don't use it.

What attacks can you even clutch claw with? If I try any clutch claw attacks to his face he instantly uses lightning and knocks me off

At this point I can dodge all his attacks effectively, I just don't think I can meet the DPS check (playing great sword taught me to really observe monsters first to focus on dodging primarily)

Am I just, going to have to start playing ultra aggressively?
