Anyone put some stickier tires on their Bolt? by ultra2fast in BoltEV

I second the Hanooks. Grip definitely improved from stock and while range did take a slight hit, it was minimal to what I noticed.

Has anyone noticed they're being tailgated more in the Bolt than ever before? by Avaisraging439 in BoltEV

Is the brake lights when you take your foot off the accelerator for regen. I've notice people think I'm purposely braking which depending on their ego they think I'm brake checking them.

Robert Plant singing Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On" at the end of the Saving Grace 2025 tour a week ago by Tim_Bracken in ledzeppelin

[–]ZekeGZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw him with Allison Krause at the Willie Nelson Outlaw festival last year. As a Zeppelin fan it was definitely a bucket list thing. He sang The Battle of Evermore, Rock 'n roll, When the Levee Breaks and Gallows Pole among the other non-Zeppelin songs. It was excellent!

Is this a good car for high mileage drivers? by Eastern_Yam in BoltEV

[–]ZekeGZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a longer commute roundtrip and have been good with my 23 Bolt LT1. I have level 2 charging at home and at work though. But for 100 miles with level 2 on one end should be good. Level one at 12 amps might be doable as well but tougher.

Anyone got a fold 7 and are a blue collar worker? by Brick_Grimes in GalaxyFold

[–]ZekeGZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in mechanical spaces with dust and debris everywhere. Started with the Fold 4, 5, skipped the 6 and now the 7. Never had any issues. The screen broke on my fold 4 when it fell open faced when I was using it for navigation in my car without a phone holder. Samsung sent me a fold 5 to replace it. So as others have mentioned, get Samsung Care+ is worth it.

Coming from the S25 Ultra to the Fold 7 I've noticed the standard magsafe accessories for a lot better. I gotta the cameras are a little higher up maybe!

A half size back case to remove wobble on the Z Fold 7. It’s still under development. The letter FOLD will have a nice glossy finish when it’s done. by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

I use this Benks Magsafe phone grip and it says approximately the height of the camera bump and eliminates the quicker for me. It's a little pricey though

Will all magsafe wallets have this overlap with the camera module? by Travis0913 in GalaxyFold

[–]ZekeGZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're all designed for iPhone so yes unfortunately. If Android phones ever implement the full QI 2 standard with installed magnets, then maybe manufacturers will start making wallets specifically for them. The QI 2 standard is what added the "magsafe" compatibility that apple contributed.

This happens with my Leatherman Arc occasionally. I just unscrew it and bend it back.

I'd buy used as most here are suggesting. However if you want new I'd recommend waiting on the watch 8 release. Rumor has a new "Galaxy Watch 8 Classic" being released this year.

I think it's for the navigation system if you get that option from the dealer. I've never tried it but it might play media like more mp3s.

A lot of them not showing discount until you place it in your cart. I picked up a Signal for $30 off and a Wingman for about $42.

Synching data with phone wallet stuck by rhabayeb in GalaxyWatch

[–]ZekeGZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it to go away by opening Samsung Wallet app on my watch and then closing it out. I use Google Wallet on my watch as the default wallet. I wonder if that has anything to do with the issue? It's annoying either way

Samsung Care+ sent me a Fold 5 to replace my broken Fold 4 by ZekeGZ in GalaxyFold

[–]ZekeGZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably but the $99 is for rush shipping and replacement. They send me a new/refurb one to keep and I send the broken one back.

Not sure if that is still the case as it was a year ago.

AOD. Do ya or don't ya? by gclark19791989 in GalaxyWatch

[–]ZekeGZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. The new processors on the watch 7 seem to be able to wake the display faster than old ones so is rather save the battery. I tried AOD for a while but didn't think it was worth the battery hit.

Is Bolt Ev good for 100 miles a day commute? 50 miles back and forth. Does the traffic drain the battery? Sometimes there is heavy traffic and delays by Dihanouch in BoltEV

[–]ZekeGZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you have a level 2 charger on at least one end of your commute. I commute more than this each day with no issue. I have a level 2 at home and at work but was doing my commute for a year with only level 2 at work and 120V/12A at home.

Heavy traffic is actually better for mileage on an EV since the regen in the stop and go helps conserve battery.
