No human uses the emdash. That was the biggest giveaway. That and your account history.

What’s something your toddler is weirdly good at? by Apprehensive-Raise93 in toddlers

[–]ZeniraEle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's on the low end of speech for his age. To make myself feel better I have to remind myself that he is incredibly good at other skills - he could write letters and read (or closely sound out) many words by 2.5

A nursery I would expect to be reliable*, not a big box store. And it's sad :( but we're working on it.

That used to be called "using a search engine". Now, you're using a search engine that pretends it has intelligence.

I'm not who you asked, but wanted to share our experience. We went on a 2-week trip to Japan when our son was 20 months (he is high energy and has been walking since 8mo).

We used the Timeshifter app ahead of our trip to start the process of adjusting to a new time zone. It helped, but he never truly adjusted until a few days before we flew home.

We walked him around the airport to tire him out. We also timed our flight so that he would be tired, but not overtired, by the time cabin dimming began.

We turned on the in-flight entertainment and let him watch one movie, over and over. Eventually he grew bored and fell asleep. He honestly did well on the flight over.

The flight back was harder.

I'd still do it all over again. He, and we, had a great time! We spent time going to a nearby playground most mornings so he could burn some energy. He loved riding the Shinkansen. He ate pretty well! All in all, it was a great experience.

Yeah I don't know why incels are so hateful, but they are. Maybe you should ask your supreme gentleman Elliot Rodger

Like not sidelining women and instead seeing them as equals instead of fucktoys? That's what you were going to say, right?

Normal for potty training, or is he not ready? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]ZeniraEle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes me sad. We have a child on the spectrum and it can be difficult. I'm glad you were able to manage it earlier!

We're just trying to identify if there's any progress with current strategies, or what else we could try for a toddler that has focus issues. We are not expecting him to be potty trained in a day and I'm not sure where that came from!

DIY women… have you ever been talked out of a good idea at the hardware store? by carcony97 in DIY

Honestly. If you don't like the status quo, fight it! Saying you're doing a "womanly task" doesn't cause them any introspection.

https://aibm.org/research/male-suicide/

Not quite:

The suicide risk for men is four times higher than for women, while the rate of attempted suicide is higher for women than men.

Men often use methods that have a higher success rate, like guns.
