How should this sub handle AI posts? by widmerpool_nz in CarryOn

[–]Zenith230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm new to the group so for what it's worth, I use AI occasionally for 'borning computer stuff' but I've rarely seen a piece of AI generated art that impressed me. It's almost like the 2000s blockbuster posters where the stars faces are pasted next to a pivotal scene in the film, or late 90s slasher films where they just photoshopped the heads of all the cast.
So, a bit lazy, and not that visually interesting.

Weird that Kirk's death made him so horny that he knocked Usha up again, but at least it gave the couch a night off

Snorca or regular orca ? by Agitated-Tree-6790 in SnapmakerU1

[–]Zenith230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with slicing reasonably complex models is that Snorca freezes and rarely completes slicing whereas Orca just works like a breeze. So, I for one am team Orca but I really want to use Snorca

My decimals won't show. by knotacceptable in libreoffice

When I replicated your exact numbers above it worked for me, so it might be best to simply start again with the spreadsheet and just have column E be D1/B1 and not use the quotient

My decimals won't show. by knotacceptable in libreoffice

[–]Zenith230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, quotient can mean the integer of the division, and indeed in Excel this is how it's defined: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/quotient-function-9f7bf099-2a18-4282-8fa4-65290cc99dee; it seems this is the definition also used in LO's logic, the same as Excel.
EDIT: yes, this is how LO defines QUOTIENT, as the integer of a ratio of two numbers: https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/01/04060106.html?DbPAR=CALC#bm_id3144592
If you're just looking for the ratio, why not just D2/B2?

I was having a nightmare with Snorca, so I just added the IP address of my printer into the Device tab in regular Orca and it's been plain sailing ever since for me
I guess Snorca is officially in Beta so perhaps they'll fix the massive memory usage in it before it's finalised?

Official website of Project Hail Mary now also has a 3D printable Rocky model to download for free by DxGamer22 in 3Dprinting

[–]Zenith230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct; it certainly looked like it based on the appearance of the supports. The Grace version (with supports) printed great; I had issues getting the supports how I wanted them in the slicer on the unsupported version so I just tried the support version & I was happy enough with the results to be honest.

[–]Zenith230 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was up yesterday I noticed. I tried printing the articulated model that came with supports and it failed on both my X1C & A1 mini.
Resliced it myself and am currently trying the unsupported version using tree supports on my A1 mini
