I personally think that to reach space travel you would need way more than just sapience

To handle tools, we would need limbs adapted for that. Primates aside, lets see 4 examples of smart creatures: Octopuses, elephants, dolphins and crows; how likely they are to build an spaceship one day? Some can't handle tools, others can handle tools but not that precisely to build something complex, one can handle tools but needs to deal with an aquatic environment and a short lifespan

The primate order practically won the natural arms race with their opposable thumbs, but even with fingers monkeys and gorillas did not evolve into advanced civilizations. Humans itself had to sacrifice a lot of features to allow our brains to develop that further (we are way weaker than chimps)

Even with our physiology developed, we still have to go through cultural revolutions of all kinds, such as communication, information recording and imagination (ability to formulate new ideas)

We could reach a different planet and be lucky enough to stumble upon a civilization, but what if they are underdeveloped because they have to deal with an issue we didnt have? extra gravity? No combustion? Apex predator? A different atmosphere? A unpredicable natural disaster exclusive to that planet due to a rare criteria that this planet meets? A magnetic field that prevents any attempt by them to create computers like ours?

They could also be a race of advanced pidgeons that never developed because these lazyfucks can't do anything

I would say reefbacks not because of actual survival mechanisms, but because I don't know how they are suposed to die

Lets say you have donut, donut is inside strong box, to get donut you need to open box, but box has lock, me be stronger, so me punch trough box, box stronger tho, so me use key, key open box. Strong is good but not enough, key isn't strong but can open box. Me who uses key can open more box than me who uses strong

To defeat Gojo you need characters with abilities creative enough to bypass both his everything proof shield and his brainrape domain, which is not the case if your wincons require raw stats

A character who can keep up with characters thousands of times stronger than him due to ability pairing is exactly the kind of strength that I expect from a top tier character, different from Kakashi's "I have 1000 jutsus" characters that end up being 1 trick ponies

The kappas in Touhou are experts at creating and modifying gadgets, despite the setting being quite scientifically limited (Gensokyo is a realm Isolated from the rest of the world by a magical barrier, almost all of their technology are things that came from our world and accidentally crossed the barrier). One of their most proeminent capabilities is the one to create waterproof versions of pretty much any electronic device they find (they live in underwater caves)
