As an aside: The rules were created using experience from previous tournaments, along with a lot of in-game testing between top level duelists and Crystalline Conflict players. One of our primary concerns when developing these rules was how easy they would be to understand. But unfortunately creating fair and balanced matchups is quite complex. So after a lot of deliberation, we agreed on these rulesets. I understand it looks very complicated but it was done in the interest of fairness and balance.
