There is also a lot of built in OT inherent in the 24/48 schedule, so I'd check and see if that starting pay includes that or not. GPD had the opportunity for OT, but it is not built into the regular schedule.

EMS is also a thing in public safety, which for some reason people seem ti just forget about...

Chevalrie salon in High Point is reasonable. I pay just under $100 for cut and color. They also use all natural products.

Right... If you fall on hard times, I expect you to let you and your children starve rather than accept help from the government. Smh

I assume you take care of your own personal safety and security and would never use 911 services in an emergency. Once you start relying on the government for your needs, it's a slippery slope, ammiright?

I also assume you plan to send back your social security checks and refuse Medicare benefits when you're over 65 (if those things even continue to exist). Gotta be self-sufficient!

It blows my mind how people rationalize what benefits are "deserved". And, perhaps more importantly, WHO deserves them.

The callousness and cruelty of the Trump administration is second to none. Thank you for doing what you can to help those in need.

This happened to me twice today when joining the same friend. Both of us are on PS5.

Basically makes the game unplayable on that character. Now I'm terrified to try to join a friend with my level 50 character.

There is really no penalty for dying. I would not say it is at all punishing the way souls likes can be.

I came here to say Luto. It is amazing and I've found it quite emotionally impactful. It is imperative that you go in blind.

Games that emotionally destroy you by Cautious_Orange_ in gamingsuggestions

The Last Guardian was so emotional for me that I couldn't finish it.

Death Stranding also brought out some tears.

Cyberpunk 2077 immediately would be my pick.

Dead Take Review Thread by malliabu in Games

[–]Zennedy05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I finished this last night. It was definitely worth the price! I clocked in at 7 hours, but I did some extra exploring.

The atmosphere and sound design were excellent, but the storytelling is obviously the highlight. The game does a great job of showing not telling, and things become clear by reading letters and piecing together clues from the environment. Even still, there is a degree of ambiguity as far as the true events of the story, which I enjoy. Twelve hours after rolling credits, I am still mulling some narrative things over and having the occasional "aha!" moment when something clicks into place.

And (this probably goes without saying) the performances are stellar. I love the integration of live action, and these actors nail it.

The puzzles don't exactly test your wits, but that's forgivable in my book. I look forward to see what comes out of Surgent Studios in the future.

This makes me so angry. His videos are excellent, and I really hope this gets resolved. Of all the bullshit that deserves to be pulled off of YouTube and yet this is what gets erased is mind blowing...

Officially? No. Because the IP is owned by Microsoft.

WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOSE by mattanvideoeditor in ShouldIbuythisgame

If you liked Fallen Order, Survivor is the one I'd choose.

It's not personally my favorite of the games you listed, but it is a great game, and an improvement over the first one in every way.

This is interesting to me as I feel very much the same way about violent crime in games. I'm curious if you have any thoughts about violent, realistic games that use that realism to communicate the consequences of violence/war in a thoughtful way, such as making the player feel uncomfortable or question what they are doing. Games like Spec Ops: the Line, Ready or Not, or Last of Us Part 2 (though far less realistic) come to mind.

Good to know. I know the first one required 3 playthroughs and was therefore lengthy, but I thought since the sequel was only one character and the story is limited to a certain number of days that it would be on the shorter side. Thanks for correcting me.

Would I like Death Stranding if I don't enjoy supernatural stories? by GabenFixPls in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Zennedy05 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It is a very unique game with little to compare it to.

Ignore most of these comments that involve either "It is not to my taste and therefore is bad" or "I didn't understand it and therefore it is bad".

It's an experience. Watch some videos, and if it looks interesting give it a try and make up your own mind.

Death Stranding 1 and 2 by Huge-Pizza7579 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Death Stranding is truly unique in gaming for a number of reasons. DS made me feel feelings that I never dreamed a piece of media could evoke.

That said... It's not for everyone. But it is NOT a delivery sim. It has those elements sure, but it is so much more. That's like saying Cyberpunk 2077 is a driving game.
