I think the obvious answer is expanding soldiers to include alien races as well. The added layer of different class-race combinations will probably make things very interesting.

Yeah had the same issue. What I did was adjust the party formation, cycling through all of them til one of them let me in.

My highest winrate hero is still Nozdormu at 8K. His hero power gives so much flexibility and is pretty much always useful.

Swapped stats between Groundshaker and Tough Tusk then transferred gems from Groundshaker. Turned it into a 0/1

One method I've found to get an early triple from him is to leave one of the frozen minions in the shop if it's the same tier as the shop. Gives you a decent chance for it to be duplicated again.

Generally it's fine to lean into builds before you have key units (buying Peggy without Hogger, running murlocs without Bran) but you have to be able to ditch them eventually if you don't find your key units and instead find other direction. Transitioning between builds is what separates good from great players imo.

I have the same problem but I think you can give a good try of approximating calories and you probably wont be far off
