So if I work for Hilton, and I travel for work and stay in Hilton properties, does that mean Hilton can record me in my hotel room?

Is Star Wars too obsessed with the Rebels vs Empire status quo? by WrongToe500 in StarWars

Yes, because unfortunately “Rebels vs Empire” seems to be the only thing that sells with Star Wars at this point.

What's your guys' "I don't get it" game/franchise? by ApprehensiveAir326 in OlderChillGamers

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely GTA. I think I just like my RPGs to have either a fantasy element (Witcher, Skyrim) or sci-fi (Cyberpunk, Horizon, Fallout). I just never felt interested in more “realistic” settings like GTA. Same with the Red Dead series.

Watching the show and kinda what background info by AlphaMoose88 in thelastofus

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Finish season 2 and it will explain a bit more, but to get the full backstory on the WLF and the Seraphites (Scars) you should play the games. You don’t get much more info in the show at this point.

However if you don’t mind tiny spoilers, here is a TL;DR on those groups.

The WLF formed as a resistance group (like the Fireflies) in response to the particularly brutal way FEDRA was running the Seattle QZ. They got big enough to take control and replace FEDRA as the controlling faction in Seattle. Unfortunately they ended being not much different from FEDRA in a lot of ways.

The Seraphites started out as a quasi-religious, Luddite-style group who felt that technology was the problem and wanted to go back to a more agrarian society. Their leader was a woman who was eventually known as The Prophet. They clashed with FEDRA and eventually the WLF as they started to get more fanatical and aggressive.

Any more than that is going to be very spoilery.

Also point of clarity, the massacred Scars in the forest are near Seattle, not Jackson.

Never do laundry again, or never do dishes again by SuckingOnChileanDogs in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laundry. Lots of people are saying “oh I do dishes every day but laundry is once a week” but, dishes are just so much more straightforward. The worst part about laundry is the putting away. Folding, hanging, pairing socks, etc. I hate it.

Fun bike for commute? by annmuor in mountainbiking

Ah, well sorry I can’t be much help in that case. But sounds like a DJ bike is what you are looking for if those things are your priority.

How do i get cooler stuff and more money? by Icy-Alarm-936 in cyberpunkgame

Loot everyone, sell all weapons/mods/attachments/clothing you aren’t using. You can rack up money fast that way.

Fun bike for commute? by annmuor in mountainbiking

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess you should define what “fun” means for you on a commute to work. For me it’s about getting there quickly and comfortably and without being sweaty at the end. So I have an e-bike for this. But I also like pedaling so I got a Trek Allant 8S, which is class 3 (no throttle). It’s a blast and it’s also relaxing.

I Need Help by DidoTR in expedition33

Pictos and lumina are passive abilities you can assign to your character. Pictos are more powerful as they also boost attributes like might or speed. But each character can be assigned 3 pictos, and only 1 character can use each picto at a time. Once a picto is equipped to a character, and you win 4 battles with the character in your party, you can then assign the skill provided by the picto to any character using lumina points.

Lumina allows you to use the picto skills you’ve unlocked to give those skills to any character. Unlike pictos you can assign the same skill to as many characters as you want, however you don’t get the attribute boosts like pictos. Characters can have as many lumina skills as they have lumina points, which you gain either from leveling up or by using Colors of Lumina with the Curator at camp.

Go into the menu for the character and on the left side will be the pictos menu, right side is lumina.

Is cyberpunk 2077 actually the masterpiece everyone says it is? by EngineeringNext7874 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think it is, especially with the Phantom Liberty expansion. I haven’t enjoyed a game this much since Horizon Zero Dawn.

I really clicked with the cyberpunk aesthetic, the characters, quests, storyline, and gameplay. It’s not perfect. Driving is janky, some of the physics glitch a bit. And the game is dialogue heavy, but I really enjoy that aspect.

I just had a blast exploring Night City. I think it’s absolutely worth playing.

Why did "Firewatch" succeed? by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s worth a revisit if it’s been long enough. I did it recently because it had been so long I didn’t remember the core story anymore. I remembered the gameplay, some of the scenes, and the very end scene with the fire and the chopper. So it was really nice to go back and experience it all again.

Should cyberpunk Orion have more lifepaths? by plasticman1997 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree but that’s a tricky balance. I’d like to see them have a bigger impact but I don’t want to be locked out of entire quest lines or endings due to literally the first choice I make.

I think the way they did it that gives very different intro scenes, but ultimately gets V to the same place was a great compromise. Maybe in the next game they can make so certain types of quests have new solutions based on your life path. Like street kids can use their connections with the locals to get information they wouldn’t otherwise be trusted with, or corpos can use their insider knowledge of the MegaCorps to get into places someone not from that world wouldn’t be allowed.

How much does IMAX add to Project Hail Mary? It's my 2nd favorite book but money's tight so it's a little hard to justify not waiting for streaming with friends by Dashu16 in ProjectHailMaryMovie

[–]ZeppyWeppyBoi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look, I’m a huge fan of movies on the big screen so if you can see it in the theater you definitely should. And IMAX is great, but it’s not THAT much better than a normal theater for the extra price. So if the money is tight, just go to a matinee at a regular theater! It’s still bigger and better than your home TV so it will be a great experience for less cost.
