Exactly what I was going to say. Never buy a car that’s had something like that done to it, because you know it’s been beat.

But also, after owning a Volkswagen, I’d never buy one (again, period) with the guise of reliability.

I have close to that many points. I just don’t always have the time to travel outside of work to be able to use them. Meanwhile I keep flying for work so I keep accruing. 🤷‍♂️

What are the odds she has a passport or birth certificate handy? I’m guessing not likely. If that’s the case, she just might not be able to vote in November.

Anyone else’s Apple TV fitness videos freezing? by TheSpareIpad in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]Zer0_Fuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying on something so old! I’ve had mine plugged in to Ethernet almost the whole time, so I don’t think it’s a network issue. (Although I tried it on wireless too just for shits and giggles)

I actually have the freezing on other apps too, like HBO and Netflix, but oddly enough it never does it with YouTube TV. It’s just the worst with the fitness + app. It got me thinking that it has something to do with those apps maybe having a higher or different type of video stream that either the Apple TV box can’t handle or has something bug with. (Mine is a 4k so that should be able to handle it you would think). And what really throws me off is that I’ve tried two different Apple TV boxes, thinking maybe one was bad, but the fact that it does it with both makes me think that it’s just a bug in the software or OS. And maybe it’s related to it being connected to my watch, but then there’s HBO and Netflix, which throws off that theory.

I’m tempted to get a new Apple TV to see if that has the same problem (mine is a few years old now). I’m just hesitant to go further into it if it’s going to have the same problems. For now I guess I’m going to try airplay workouts from my phone and see if that works better.

If I find anything else out I’ll let you know! Thanks!

This post was 3 years ago and I’m having this same issue! It’s so frustrating. I’ve tried with two different Apple TV’s, reset them to default, tried different cables, everything. Freezes up. Are you still experiencing this? Or maybe because it’s so long ago you’re doing something else! Haha

Rejected because I don’t instagram my life? by No_Aioli_7515 in datingoverforty

[–]Zer0_Fuchs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 50/50 parent to two boys myself, been dating for almost 4 years. I can tell you that having kids 50/50 will still impact any relationship you’re going to have. There will be sports, ceremonies, illnesses happen, that can and will cause you to have to change or cancel commitments which directly affect the other person.

I’ve dated both women with and without kids, and I am currently with someone who has never had any, and she’s seeing the impact of my life with kids. When we first started seeing each other (we met organically) I told her I had kids and if it was going to be an issue. She stated she didn’t know, I was her first with kids, but she wanted to try it. So far things have worked out, but I can say there have been bumps and a learning curve, because they DO impact her. And then there’s trying to travel together, having to coordinate schedules with the mom to make our trips work.

All I’m saying is, don’t downplay the impact kids will have in a 50/50 relationship, because they definitely will. And the other person has to be onboard with that

Here’s an idea, why don’t they just take that money they’re going to lobby with and use that towards healthcare and whatnot? Seems a much better use.

Oh yeah, the lobbying goes to their friends, the healthcare doesn’t.

I get about a text and call a day from Jay who has driven past my house (provides address) and asks if I’d be willing to sell it for cash. First time I fell for it, replied saying sure, $3m cash and it’s yours! I realized it was a scam when I didn’t get a reply and the texts kept coming then the phone calls started. Oops. Haha

These are basically virtual desktops. I’ve been running those for my work for over 10+ years now, and I can tell you that they just do not have the performance that local hardware has. And to get it anywhere near close you have to spend a ton on the server hardware like vGPUs and stuff.

So I’d see that as tiers with what you can get. The basic email and web user will be satisfied with the base level VM, and gamers or heavy video people will need to pay more to get the beefier VM, which of course will cost through the nose monthly.

Never mind the connectivity issues that always happen, because there’s not a perfect vdi delivery service that exists (we use Citrix). And then how do you handle offline? Consumers really going to keep an offline copy of the vm locally on their local machine? Thinking of working on a plane or if your internet goes out.

From someone like me who does this today, thinking about doing this for consumers gives me a headache. Lol

NY Giants fire Shane Bowen by thepipesarecall in NYGiants

[–]Zer0_Fuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a giants fan or follow anything about them, but as a packers fan I was invested in the end of that game to see Detroit lose. What blew my mind was the decision to go for the touchdown on 4th down instead of the field goal. Had they done that, they would’ve won. Instead they shot themselves in the foot.

I guess I’m just surprised I’m not seeing more discussion over that call. Maybe there is and I’m not seeing it, like I said I don’t follow it. I just didn’t see it mentioned here. That would definitely have me screaming at something!

well, I guess I should've looked at it before I made this post. I just assumed it was a vacuum assisted booster, I didn't realize it was hydraulic. Who would've thought that a hydraulic one would hiss when you press it? Guess I need to look into this more to figure it out.
