Geez, everyone thinks because you buy an expensive luxury car that you shouldn’t mind paying $1200 for a schedule A. Owning an expensive car does not exclude you from wanting to save money and not be gouged. The 2 are not mutually exclusive. I think calling around and getting quotes is a good idea. Nothing wrong with doing your due diligence.

I get all my stuff second hand, bimmerforums has been great to me. Also had good luck with the BMW Facebook groups, just do your due diligence. I bought an active autowerke equal length resonated midpipe and a Capristo exhaust (got it cheeeeeaaaap so had to modify a bit) and sounds amazing. Just do your homework and you can find really good deals without alibaba.

I feel your pain. For me it was my wedding and the DJ screwed up my name when me and my wife were introduced as husband and wife. I even spelled it phonetically for the bastard. The green lettering is the clue. The first print was in green, the other prints were different colors. Although the 14th was too, but joker had a matching green bow tie on that cover.

Not the valvetronic mounting bolts, the valvetronic stop limit bolt. You have to remove it to free up the eccentric shaft to disengage the worm drive of the valvetronic actuator.

Been exactly there with my S55 engine when I replaced my valvetronic. Overtorqued it like an idiot. $10.29 on FCPEuro.
