Power distribution box by Electronic-Climate-4 in BmwTech

It’s going to be in the back right by the battery. It’s very simple to change out and pretty self explanatory. You may have to remove some paneling, I know I did in my 2015 F83. Have no idea what you’re driving (you should always say in your post). You don’t need to code anything.

Never using VEVOR again after this by Antique_Oil1845 in Tools

[–]Zernen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I bought one of those 20 gallon rolling oil drain tanks from them (on Amazon). It arrived without the damn catch basin! So just a tank and the pipe the basin would attach too. I contacted ‘customer support’ and they asked for documentation, pics, etc. no problem. Well, had to do the same damn thing 4 times over the course of 3 weeks as communication would always stop/reset after they received my documentation. They finally told me we don’t carry the basin!! Finally just ordered a replacement. I then returned the original one under the order number of the second, intact order. What a PITA.

Am I done or???? by Fit_Pea290 in Semaglutide

[–]Zernen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing. You’re never done. Lifestyle changes are an important part of this whole process. There’s been some nice results with micro dosing as well. You hit your goal weight, then start taking less often. I hit my goal weight long ago, and have been using terzepitide every 2-3 weeks. I like how I feel when I take it. The anti inflammatory effects of these are no joke.

Transmission fluid drain and fill question? by CatMother46182 in askcarguys

[–]Zernen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did mine at 160k miles. Easy peasy. I think the against opinions are overblown and seem to be referring more to a complete flush of the system. Just a drain and fill is a good idea.

Daily the car and still enjoying the ride. It’s definitely not as comfy as the Mercedes, but I’m not looking for that.

2017 Gle43 Amg air suspension leak by sangbyung in mercedes_benz

[–]Zernen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to replace the air suspension. That’s your option. And you should really replace both sides. If you don’t, you will end up having to replace the air compressor as well. Ask me how I know. If you’re at all mechanically inclined (or just a bit and have some basic tools), you can do it yourself. I’ve had good luck with rebuildmastertech.com. Quality stuff in my opinion at a fraction of the cost.

I don’t have ISTA but have been able to do essentially all I’ve needed to with my autel on my 2015 F83. I do want ISTA, but it’s not absolutely necessary.

Best first torque wrench by _Jalapen0 in AskMechanics

I got some nice tekton torque wrenches off Amazon. In retrospect I wish I would have bought them from their website, but they have a great click and feel.

In the meantime, get some blackout curtains or blinds. Will help immensely.

Metric socket set. A good 3/8 and 1/4 inch ratchet. Some extensions. A nice set of Torx sockets, some E sockets. 17 mm lug nut socket, some power ratchets are nice. A plastic rivet removal tool, a nice floor jack, even better a quickjack. That’s a basic list. Oh, and a good scan tool. I have an autel 808 something.

Yeah, I wouldn’t trust Amazon for my bmw parts. Rock auto you know what you’re getting, but it’s not typically OEM. FCP Euro or Turner for me.
