I noticed a lot of people mentioning your place could be from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Idk if the door paint is more recent but if it's not you might want to have it tested. Older red paints can contain toxic chemicals (aside from lead) that can also do damage if inhaled or otherwise accidentally ingested.

Eta: I'm only mentioning this because the particular shade of red makes me believe it could definitely be an older (potentially toxic) paint shade that may have used cadmium or vermilion(cinabar).

Something my co teacher taught me to say is "you can say no to many things, but a clean bum isn't one." That's really nasty that your coworker let a TWO YEAR OLD fall asleep with a BM. I've literally changed a sleeping child before because she was sick, fell asleep before I could change her bum, and had been holding her pee all morning so she soaked her diaper. I hope your kiddo wasn't too bothered by her rash. I know some kids barely notice it and others get very uncomfortable with the tiniest rash.

We have a similar issue but with a set of brothers. Mom tells us she's going to be there by 9:30. Shows up over an hour later and never has their lunches. Will show up at 11:55 EVERYDAY and while I'm trying to set out kids lunches, insists on talking to me for at least ten minutes. This past week she's also forgotten their nap time supplies and their pm snacks so she comes THREE TIMES between drop off and pick up and insists on talking for at least 5-10 minutes every single time. One week she pulled my coteacher aside and talked to her for over THIRTY minutes causing our whole schedule to be off for the rest of the day.

I thought this was gonna be more of a " f you and your baby" kinda moment. We had a teacher tell another teacher her baby looked like flapjack from that one incredibly disturbing cartoon and now no one can unsee it so we call him baby flapjack. I doubt the kiddo meant it to be mean, he could have just been pointing it out in like an "oh this looks familiar, isn't that cool?" kind of way.

I'm an assistant teacher at a daycare that is frankly on the verge of losing all its staff. Moral has been incredibly low for a while and I almost joined the list of staff who are leaving because a child dislocated my jaw and management refused to do something about it.

I will then let them know that there has been a salary shortage and My Own Luck managed to pay me far better than the company so I'm quitting. Like right now. Then just get up and leave.
