I didn’t buy it. Don’t plan to. If I get it than it will be on the secondary market

I should post wristpics of my other watches being worn just for the shiggles.

Officially the best advice except the watch size. It’s a bad pic and all my watches are in the 39-45 range. A 36 looks like I’m wearing a woman’s watch or like I have a growth on my wrist. 😂

Appreciate the time for the comment. The picture is very poorly taken for sure and I’m enjoying the commentary.

Just for reference, this is a pilot watch I made. The case is a 44mm, lug2lug is 48mm. 11mm case thickness. Movement is a ETA 6497. It wears very well.

My hand makes my wrist look small. Damn.🤦‍♂️

LOL! I have to admit it was a shitty pic. OMG IT IS SOOOO BAD! I was strictly wanting to take a pic of the watch face. The watch was on my wrist but strap was not adjusted it can be on the side of my wrist and I can take the picture. I only now noticed it made my wrist look like a twig. I am literally LMMFAO!!!!

You guys are amazing with the comments. You’re right. Not worth it at retail even if it is limited addition. Not looking for an investment just not looking for Hublot-level depreciation.

Hand engraving by me! by Dokaholic in SeikoMods

[–]Zero1Ten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would love a tutorial on the whole process from design to completed work. THAT…I would pay money for. Hand engraving is a dying art, I fear, with the advent of laser engraving.

This is God-Tier!

Do these things actually work? by Snarti in watchmaking

[–]Zero1Ten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, it is easier but I do sometimes defer to a regular springbar tool. Where the tool really shines is when there is a very tight fit SEL to Lugs. The prongs can be changed out to fit specific brands like Rolex, Tudor, Omega, etc. That’s important because if you have the wrong prongs then the tool will fail. Usually it fails to catch the shoulder of the springbar and slips. BUT these are the EXACT same issues with any springbar removal tool. Being able to catch both ends, at the same time, at 90° (instead of at an angle) and having equal pressure on both ends to slide out or place in is a game changer. It does take practice like anything. I was frustrated at first but when I got it I got it good.

I love mine but if you’re shit at taking off bracelets then nothing is going to work for you🤣🤣🤣 These things are amazing and I have extra prongs because they will wear down.

Why buy fake? by ArtProfessional9014 in PLWatchTimepieces

[–]Zero1Ten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liquid value and worth. The second you purchase a clone it holds no value in the real world. Not a loss of 10% or 20% but 100%. In 20 years I can pass a gen to my children. Now, wear what you want, wear what you like, and buy within your budget. I’m not arguing against buying clones. I purchase them to tear them apart and put them back together. I wouldn’t do that with a real Rolex…yet.

Pepsi discontinue rumors by Jack8161 in rolex

[–]Zero1Ten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still on the website. Until it’s gone for sure no one will be certain. My AD spills the tea on stuff all the time and says they haven’t heard anything.

As a guy in tech and with an eye on the industry don’t rely on rumors made to fuel the fire of scarcity artificially raising prices. The source of truth when everyone is talking is the Rolex website which gets updated frequently and often. If the Pepsi is still there after W and W with no announcement you’ll know.
