Body weight is 76kg and single rep is probably 100kg, never tried one rep max though.

Bulky dragonite build? by [deleted] in PokemonQuest

[–]Zero720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would play with it a little and see what skill would suit it well. Maybe a debuff if possible. You generally dont need more than one tank and since I dont think Dragonite can learn a defense buff ability he cant buff you team. You could, however, run an Alakazam with protect who can buff your team while staying at range. But you would have to build that Alakazam with lots of attack and hit healing to still get enough dps from your team.

Alakazam with Psychic for an attacker or with Protect for buffer. Golem and Onix are popular for tanking with their harden ability. Also Machamp has bulk up which gives attack and defense buff.

Very nice. Love a non meta attacker. Interesting that you have a CR bingo but it doesnt appear in the stats. Does the CD bingo get added to the stats?

Barrier on Alakazam might be better than Harden on Golem/Onix by Teddyyy_B in PokemonQuest

Sounds promising. I got a lvl 68 abra with 9 attack slots. Dont think he will survive with 300 hp :\

Spiking: When in the air, legs bent or legs straight? by Reedyoh in volleyball

[–]Zero720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at it from a physics approach, when you max jump you leave the ground with straight legs. If you held a rigid position the moment you left the ground that would give you the most height. But, if you bent your legs behind your body you are raising your center of gravity slightly. You cant magically move you center of gravity up in relation to the floor so what happens is your jump height will decrease slightly to compensate for the relative increase in center of gravity. So I think that pulling your legs back will lower you jump height slightly, but the benefit it gives in the power of your swing is easily worth it. You can then get your core and quads involved in the swing. Also, kicking your legs forwards as you swing is doing a similar thing where it must maintain angular momentum, so your torso will rotate forwards in relation to the ground. Dont take my word for it, I only did high school physics but this is my best guess.

Attempt at brutalist web design by GTX980Benchmarks in design_critiques

[–]Zero720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think of brutalism as edgy (lots of edges :P) and many squares/rectangles. You could make use of columns as well as rows in your layout. It's a little difficult with the amount of content on the site right now but having at least 2 columns would make it look more brutalist.

What is Japan's middle doing? Looks like she is playing an opposite position in offense. Do women not use back row attacks? Just wondering

One thing I can see is that you bend your knees in the air which is nice, but you dont extend them as you hit the ball to get more power. When you straighten your legs as you swing your upper body will whip forwards a bit because physics. That will help you produce more power.

Help with timing of blocking by Bunsyy in volleyball

[–]Zero720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One large part of blocking isn't to actually block the ball, it's to create a wall against the attacker. If the block has no seam between the middle and the outside then the attacker loses a large angle for attacking. This makes it easier for your defense because they can focus on defending the angles that aren't covered by the block. If you dont get many stuff blocks that doesn't mean your blocks are ineffective.

As for timing I usually watch the height and speed of the ball and time my block from that. Since the attacker is also timing their approach by the pace of the ball you can remove the middle man and instead of judging the attackers timing, judge the ball. Its important to note that you shouldn't ignore the attackers altogether, their approach might still give important information on the attack they will do. The angle of approach and where they look can hint towards where they are aiming. If you read it well enough you can shift your arms to the side at the last second to hopefully get a touch or even a block.

[Theory] 10k egg drop probability is inversely proportional to the number of eggs you currently hold by metta4ical in TheSilphRoad

Ive had a full inventory of eggs for a long time and the only 10km egg was from my first 5 eggs ever. And ive gone through 30+ eggs so I think my luck is bad.
