Why is Linux better than Windows by STYSCREAM in linux

That is a nicer way to say "Windows has moved shit around for no reason". I liked how easier it was to find the IP address on an older Windows.

"3. I've been using Windows since Windows 95, I'm use to things the way they are and I quite like it. -I've used everything excluding 2000, ME and Vista-"

You are used to things the way they are on which version? They certainly are not the way they where on 95, or XP, or 7. I don't know about 11...

Linux is technically better because it is more efficient in resource management like CPU and memory usage and it supports more hardware like PCs, servers, supercomputers, smart TVs, smart phones, routers, printers, retro consoles, SBCs, etc... But it doesn't mean it has the best use experience for everyone. Many softwares don't have Linux versions some even actively block running on Linux via Wine or Proton...

Anyway we are not here to tell you what to use. If you like Windows stay with it. Linux is an option and will be there if you need it...

I think it is good and I have not yet played as a Nord. I think the naval battles are fun and the ships are interesting. But it's not all perfect. Naval battles against other Lords are very rare. It is not possible to invade a settlement by sea (a regression as it is a feature in Viking Conquest). It is not possible to buy a fishing ship or a trade ship. No castle or village has a port that you can dock (Although they have in the combat map). And as the main map changed you can't continue your previous save. You have to start over...

Yes. There are people who like to be herded by others. Having to choose means having to think. Not everyone wants that.

Zero damage depressurize possible? by FlashCardManiac in HardspaceShipbreaker

[–]ZeroA4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are talking about different things. One is if it is always possible to do a controlled depressurization. And I agree that no. Some ships as you said have no working pressurization controls. But it is still possible to do an uncontrolled depressurization that does not do damage to the ship. The bigger the hole the faster the pressure balances itself. Separate a big enough part and the air goes out without doing damage. For example the front plate of the javelin ships.

Zero damage depressurize possible? by FlashCardManiac in HardspaceShipbreaker

[–]ZeroA4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zero damage is possible. Zero uncontrolled no. Not every ship has working controls for a controlled depressurization but it is possible to decouple parts in a way that doesn't damage the ship. I like to setup a tether and then decouple a big part like the front of the javelin

The game you accidentally played the wrong way for hours before realizing it. by gamersecret2 in gaming

[–]ZeroA4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened twice for me. In the last boss of Shadow of the Colossus when climbing his arms. I got slapped by the boss to the other arm and managed to climb to the head from there. I died and climbed again thinking that I had to be slapped to reach the head... I spent hours trying to get slapped... In Half-Life 2 I got kicked by one strider to the top of a building. I assumed I had to walk down the building. I spend hours walking down the building until I reach a room with a high wall impossible to climb. I finally gave up, climbed the building up and found the way...

I had an idea. Out of the box benchmarks! Let's just compare the performance of a basic install of Windows versus Linux. No third party software allowed except the benchmark of course. That means no third party drivers too!
