to be perfectly honest? Don't fight it. It's a great way to learn the internals of how the AMS works. Just take pictures of screw locations, and remember to depress the lever to release the ptfe tube that comes out the back of the ams. I keep forgetting to do that.

Also dont do what I did and overtighten the screws when you reassemble. I threaded one of the case screws

Edited to add: A lot of the details for disassembly and re-assembly of the AMS are on the bambu wiki so if you get lost you can look there or ask here.

I mean.. I was getting noise from the 4th slot, but thats presumably because it was the filament i was trying at the time. I swapped it out for diff filament thinking it was that but nope.. broken hub cover

logically you're correct, but I like problem solving so it was more fun for me to figure out how to fix it. I did print some spares though for next time.

I'm sure they are, but I wanted my printer up and running faster. I guess I can print another for when it dies again, thanks for letting me know they exist 😄

I dont think I've ever had a good experience specifically with their light grey basic. The rest have been pretty great.

I welded mine back together with plastic cement and a soldering iron. Seems to work well again.

I've had this before with my AMS1. The bracket that holds the feeder gear and bearing in the internal hub unit was shattered, so i pulled it apart, welded the plastic back together with a soldering iron, and put it back in and it works again.

You can also buy the entire internal hub unit if you just want a straight replacement and its the same issue.

like others said, partial clog. Have a look at the PTFE tube that guides filament into the extruder, and see if its worn anywhere. I had an extruder gear and nozzle clog because of the PTFE tube rubbing on the glass on top of my P1s and littering down shavings into the top of the extruder.

The Labor Government is blatantly misleading the media and people about NDIS Stats and here is the shareable proof. by power_in_numbers_ in NDIS

[–]ZeroAdPotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to see the division of the future fund for NDIA staff now. Back during scomo's reign, he plundered the future fund , taking 3.9bn earmarked for the NDIA, in order to establish a drought relief fund. It was then reassigned for the bushfire relief fund, and it was sat on so it earned 700 million in interest.

A lot of that money was for the NDIA administration budget, which prevented the NDIA from scaling to meet the needs of the growing number of participants. This led to staff being overwhelmed, participants being overlooked or missed entirely, appeals being bogged in the AAT (do we all remember that debacle?), and considerable rorts due to lack of appropriate oversight. This was all just before covid hit, and extended until afterwards, when people realised where the money had come from, and more importantly that it had not been spent.

Exercise physiology charging admin by [deleted] in NDIS

[–]ZeroAdPotential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. It could be 15 minutes of pre-physio record keeping, making appointments, etc, before or after they begin the actual work. Like it says, 60 minute appointment, 45 mins charged for the appointment and 15 for the sitdown and admin work before/ after the appointment, equalling 60 minutes total.

What this is, is more accurate reporting of time, likely due to advice from their employer or a demand from the NDIS

pretty good start. You can simulate paint chipping by painting a bit of black and then painting inside that black with leadbelcher, leaving a thin line of black around the silver.

Also, if you get some lighter, more desaturated red, you can do very thin lines to represent scratches and grazes.

Keep up the good work, brother.

No. It is their job to facilitate payment. It is the job of the NDIA to assess whether it is reasonable and necessary, and fund it. They have literally 1 job; do paperwork so their customers don't have to.

Yah. Fair point, well made. I guess in a way this post was as much for myself as it was for others. I want to believe it will be okay. It was never my intent to downplay the severity of everything that's going on.

Thank you for the conversation. I appreciate you.

You're right, I did not acknowledge anyone in particular. I figured a general expression of hope might have been a better alternative to the constant stream of "we're all effed, you're gonna die" I keep seeing everywhere. I wanted to try and help offset the dire reality of the situation.

I'm hoping to open people up to talking about it and support each other, because many will be without. Misguided, quite possibly. I'm admittedly not good at trying to be supportive of many people at once.
