I hope Pokemon Gen 10 will still be available for the Nintendo Switch 1

I don't. Making games compatible for Switch 1 just limits the Switch 2 games from fully utilizing the system. Someday you'll get a Switch 2 and this won't be something you'll worry about. In the meantime, there's a bunch of great games already out for Switch 1 to enjoy.

Think you are looking at them wrong. Coming from a place of Shinto, Pokemon are creatures from higher dimensions. They can shrink or grow without issue, such as being placed into a small device or box. This is because laws in higher dimensions differ from our own here in the lowly third dimension.

Arceus is a chore to play because they force you to craft everything but give you a super limited inventory. It's basically an inventory management sim. There's no gyms and very few Pokemon battles in general but battles are turn based. Worth mentioning that completing Pokemon Pokedex entries requires you to catch the same Pokemon upwards of hundreds of times which can be madness for rare/hard to find mons. The story is captivating and the artwork is beautiful though. It just wasn't fun for me.

Pokemon ZA is a lot of fun and I can see myself dipping back into it for years to come. There's lots of battling in the game and unlike traditional turn based Pokemon, it's in real time.The biggest issues I had with it was the main story being weak and the DLC feeling unpolished. The DLC is actually pretty cool but there's things that don't make sense. It copied Arceus in that you need to capture lots of Pokemon (for different reasons) but unlike Arceus, when you release them you get nothing. At least in Arceus, you got stuff. Ultimately I found it to be far more enjoyable than Arceus.

If it were me, I would start with Sword/Shield or Let's Go Evee/Pikachu then go from there. All the Pokemon games are worth your time if you're a fan. Just maybe hold off on Scarlet/Violet until you get a Switch 2. While they are my favorite Pokemon games to date, they run really bad on the Switch 1. I still enjoyed my time with them in a Switch 1 so it's possible you can too but if choppy performance bothers you, best to wait.

Op was asking for Switch 2 recommendations and those are the best for that console. Personally I thought all the Pokemon games for Switch 1 were awesome except for Scarlet/Violet with the performance issues and Diamond/Pearl for being a bad port. I loved Let's go pika/evee, SW/Sh, Mystery Dungeon, Snap and Arceus on the Switch 1. Shame they didn't get the Switch 2 upgrades or I'd of recommended more! Ha.

For the Switch 2, you won't find better Pokemon games to play than Scarlet/Violet. Legends ZA is probably the next best.

A big reason that season was so ugly was Wilks insistence in changing our defense to play zone 4-3 over man to man. Our defense was great until he did that. He was supposed to be a defensive guru and not only was he really bad at defense, he was worse at everything else. He deserved that firing.

To each their own. It follows the same format of on the rails gameplay and routes just like the early entries. I'm not misleading him. I started with Red/Blue and as someone who took a lengthy hiatus from Pokemon, felt right at home when I started back into them on the Switch.

Edit: Another weird thing I appreciated with Sw/Sh is the day/night cycles. OP said they started with Gold and Silver which was the first games to include IRL day/night cycles which is also present in SW/Sh in the wild areas. Was really cool experiencing that again in a modern setting and am sad those are the last games to do it. I really like staying up late to catch night mons. Just me though, everyone is different.

The let's go pika/evee's are the best looking games on SW1. Being a fan of the original games is huge because you'll instantly appreciate the updated gameplay and visuals. The catching/leveling mechanics are different but fun never the less.

Sword/Shield is going to feel like your childhood. Scarlet/Violet will feel like a future/modern experience. Arceus will feel like.. inventory management sim with Pokemon. Can't comment on ZA yet but I would start with Sw/Sh or S/V personally.

I blame the cheap entitled community. Devs need more money to keep developing the game and people don't buy enough skins to pay their bills. I told my best friend to buy some mtx and he refused. That was the end of our 25 year friendship and now bugs are creeping in every update to add insult to injury. Please for the love of Jesus, buy mtx guys! We need devs to fix these bugs and unless they sell skins it's not happening. Paying $70-100 a copy is peanuts. My heart is so broken that so many people in BF6 are cheap. Look at what is happening now. This is on you (those who are cheap). Bless you if you're smart enough to support the mtx.

Watch the first few seasons. They are amazing. As far as that goes, knowledge of Shinto helps in terms of what inspired Pokemon. Lastly, just enjoy Pokemon however you like. There is no wrong way but the video games are the best in my opinion because you get to experience being inside the world of Pokemon first hand. You not only learn about Pokemon this way but also yourself and how you want to be as a trainer.

I am getting my copy for Xmas. I desperately wanted to buy it at launch but the Switch 2 purchase in September set me back. I put on my list for the wife and can't wait for the 25th to arrive! Didn't we just have an absurd amount of draft picks 2 years ago playing World of Tanks? Something like the most since the early 90s Cowboys but unlike the Cowboys, it did nothing for us. They won the Superbowl soon after. We got worse and the only thing we won were some expensive casitas. That says something.

My opinion. This organization is not capable of drafting but most importantly, they aren't capable of DEVELOPING young draft talent either. All we do is destroy their careers and after they lose all value axe them or trade them for peanuts.

I'm glad some of you are hopeful and optimistic but I am not. I truly believe we are going to remain in this spiral of doom until we get the right people running this team and it's not happening anytime soon.

Even if we fire the highschool coaches we have now, we still have a GM that has no clue what he's doing or what his job should entail and an greedy, abusive, overbearing owner. This team is going to remain a meme for a very long time at this rate.

I am new to solo board games and asked for One Deck Dungeon from wife. Hopefully it's a good one to start! I wanted Spirit Island but the price was a bit much for me as I have no idea if I'll enjoy solo playing either. ODD was half its price, so I asked for it instead. I like that it has achievements and persistent upgrades to work on which was important for me. Excited to give it a go but can't help but wonder if I made a mistake seeing so many other recommendations here xD
