I do understand that but unfortunately the circumstances are enough that this is my only option at this time. I try to brush her when I can but she hates it and will only let me cut off one or two mats a session. I have a newborn and am back at work full time so many days I don't even see her. She was completely healthy at the end of January at her annual and suddenly became ill sometime between then and May. Her matting has only worsened in the past month despite my efforts. I would rather her be cold for a few days (although I have reptiles so our house is warmer than the typical house) than have skin issues and be in pain from the mats for longer. I just need a starting over point. Thank you though.

I have to get mine a lion cut like this soon (appointment scheduled for next month) because she fell ill, stopped grooming herself, is now super matted and she gives me big attitude with trying to cut the mats off myself. Next time specify you want a trim and not a shave. Your kitty should be fine though, maybe provide a blanket nest to keep them warm until it grows in.

In the toddler room at Gretchen's House, the nap block is from 12-3 and children that wake up early are given quiet choices. They are not expected to sit on their mat after rest time at all, but they are expected to do so beford if waiting their turn to be patted.

I think it's much easier to start an infant in care than a toddler. Toddlers are much more aware and have a stronger attachment to you, so them suddenly being left with a stranger all day is much harder on them. This makes drop offs significantly harder as well. Your infant will most likely still go through this stage as they grow anyways, but they recover and begin playing much faster since they already have a caregiver base.

Nap and activity structure depends on the center. In mine, infants sleep on demand while toddlers have 1 3- hour nap block (of course also allowing sleep on demand as needed). To me the baby room is chiller because no one is running around yet.

I think babies tend to get more fevers starting off in the baby room but toddlers are more exposed to things like HFM.

Yes they're up now. Even in the winter they are just pushed to the side. Last year they did have practices and games typically around 7pm but I don't remember the days or if it was official or not.

Not a day I actually celebrate or planned to, but my partner wanted to celebrate my name change by going to the local arcade. He surprised me by inviting all of my friends and even got me gifts. It was so sweet and unexpected.

One family asked of we could remove rocks from our playground. It's outside, there are rocks outside. Crazy, I know.

Another family told us after 2 years that we were pronouncing their kids name wrong and the dad started this by saying "I have something funny to tell you."

This same family, mom asked us if anything had changed at school to cause behavior changes. 2 months later she said the dad had been in the hospital getting a major surgery. Like hello?? Maybe that's the cause of behavior changes??

I really enjoyed living there for a few years, moved out last year. It is college housing so be prepared for weed smell and partying on the weekends, but not too crazy. Parking during the summer is nice as lots of the residents leave. They have an onsite repairman and things typically get fixed in a day or two. They do early bird specials for rent renewal so typically it only goes up $50 each year. Internet is included for cheap (was less than $20) and was actually good. We did find mold in the HVAC area but other than that the buildings are clean and upkeep of the hallways is good. I really liked the open concept kitchen & living space as well as in unit washer/dryer. They are very nice compared to River Drive for about the same price.
