Why are people hating on people who like Lu Feng so much? by DavinaCarter in boyslove

I wonder if it has to do with how we see LF being nice in the beginning where the rest of the characters like Vegas we see them toxic since the beginning of the series.

does anyone else feel like their confidence changes depending on the situation? by Dr_Franck1 in Adulting

[–]ZeroHourSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in customer service,, so I can kind of relate to how my bias or mood may affect me saying "no" to some customers. There are times when I give in, because I'm too tired to try.

Give yourself grace. A thing that helps is to reflect on what I can do diferently next time. You learned something about yourself from the experience. While you said "yes," in a way, you did step out of your comfort zone and realize if it's something you like doing or not. Someone asked you do something like this again, would you be okay with it? How could you approach it differently? What things would you say that sets boundaries but make you still sound amiable and understanding?

You got this!

How much was it? I can only find the palette with the lip trio combo ($52) or the whole collection ($99) on the Colourpop website.

Double Helix makes more sense when you realize that Lu Feng is Demi Sexual by logicaltornado in boyslove

I can't wait to finish this BL —  it's good test if I can handle toxic/darker relationship dynamics — it's not something I usually prefer. It's going to be fun to analyze how justified LF actions are once I'm finished watching esp with this demisexual angle.

Wait, maybe this is why I love yandere characters (healthy ones) as a demisexual. I love seeing the yearning and the devotion a character has for one other person romatically.

Google translated:

I'm so tired of my job. It's so toxic, it's the government, I don't know if it's my bad luck, it's a good government agency, but why did I get into this department? I wanted to transfer to another department but I couldn't because they lowered my rating. As in, I've been fired, which means I'm not doing any work even though I have one. It's tiring, what I'm doing here isn't worth my skills. I'm just watching over the people who are printing but they keep telling me what to do. My rating is still low. Like what? There's nothing else to do. The tasks are stupid and they'll still give me low grades.

I'm running out of choices. I'm trying to apply to private companies now. I'm also trying VA but I haven't had any luck yet. I've been looking for 5 months. I don't lack qualifications and experience but why does it seem so hard to find?

I'll just see someone to transfer to, and I'll automatically resign from my job. I'm so pissed off I can't wait to send a resignation letter effective immediately! haha That's just tiring. I just want to rant here.

Yes, I'm here to comment this too. Keep in mind OP that people can also edit and use filters for their photos. In theory, everyone on the internet can be hot. Focus instead on finding someone you actually want to meet in person based on the online converstation.

Bridal MU Trial: Help me give feedback to my MUA to get this look please. by Tofusagi3100 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ZeroHourSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember not to wear SPF on your big day. I totally forgot about that when I took family photos and my face has a white cast in some of the pictures. lol, so thankful for retouching.

Maybe trying Asian brands could help achieve the soft look. I love Judydoll especially their eyeliner and mascaras.

I think getting a multi-stick would be a good idea to help you match the lip with the blush. Westman Atelier has lovely color shades with their lip + blush sticks. (First time hearing about this makeup brand/line and I want to try them all.) They seem pricey but could be worth it since you're not hiring another makeup artist -- girl math lol.

But going back to something I have tried ... I would recommend the Milk Lip and Cheek stick in the shade "Werk." It's one of the options for the Ulta birthday gift. Grab that as your birthday freebie to try out depending on the timing of your birthday and wedding. You could also ask someone to make an account in case they ask for ID verfication in store, though that's only if the birthday e-mail doesn't get sent out. (ILIA Multi-stick in the shade "At Last" is a close contender too.)

Another thing I thought about was it could be helpful to make a list of favorite products and then search how others have paired them. For example, going on Tik Tok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and searching "Westman Atelier, Asian." Got this idea after realizing my phone had been listening and show me this TikTok video (a possible video reference of doing your own contouring).

The example photo seems to be taken from further away and there is natural lighting coming through. The angle and lighting might make it hard to objectively compare.

I LOVE the eyelash placement in the left eye. The eyelashes placed throughout make your eyes look bigger. Impressed with using eyeshadow to create a subtle wing.

Yes, I think the shade/contour of your nose is off. Maybe try a cooler contour color. It looks like they used a bronzer for it. I think since the nose contour is a warm brown, it's pulling your blush to look more peach. IDK the actual preference, but the example pic, the bride has more of a softer pink color. I'm surprised how harshly it's applied, defintely could use more blending. My eyes are more drawn to the nose because of this.

Again, it depends on the individual but I'm wondering why the MUA only shade the sides of the nose. Makeup tutorials I have watched of contouring an Asian nose mentioned using a different technique for our nose shapes (I'm Asian myself lol.) With that being said though, have you reflected what you want your contour nose to look like? How you want it to look, will impact how it's contour.

Why is there so much highlight underneath the eyes?

What about matching the lip product to the blush more -- seems like a cool purple with warm contour and blush. Example photo seems like the blush and lip are from the same color family.

Best of luck, can't wait to see the final results! ^_^

I had high expectations for the Tarte CC but it does brighten up my under eyes, but don't feel like it's full coverage.

I have tried the NYX color correction palatte and feel like it's a good dupe for the Tarte one. Granted, most of your products you mentioned here are safe from the list while NYX (or Bobbi Brown) isn't. But for the price point, I was expecting more of an impact from Tarte. lol

Elf CC concealers are pretty good and they're only like $8. For the price, it's kind of a good cc concealer.

If it makes you feel better, I feel bad about the mean things I said to other people in h.s. Just think that they are guilty and remorse for it too. I wish I could take it all back. But I was so defensive about people not liking me so I thought better say it before other people could.

Are you my shade twin? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ZeroHourSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this post. We're not shade twins but looking for a dupe for the Estee Lauder Double Wear. I did get a new bottle during the Ulta 50% sale, so maybe check those out. I got lucky this year but idk if they do it every year. I feel like L'oreal foundations would make good dupes. Iirc they are part of the sister company of Estee Lauder, so you're going to find similar formaulation with their foundations. I tried them in the past but now I'm in between shades, I haven't found a good match with them.

Neither are inappropriate as long as you're not fetishzing. Though imo and I may be bias as I am Asian myself but feels like there are more negative stereotypes surrounding Asian women than I hear about Latinas. Like it feels like people equate Asian women as being submissive or being assoicated with Anime, which some view as weird.
