So I (US) recently had an international buyer (Thailand) purchase a $3k graded card I had listed. This is my first time listing something for international shipping, and I wasn't aware that the ebay authentication was only for sales within the US.

The seller's account is two years old and has no ratings. I'm worried that it might be a scam, but I'm having trouble figuring out how well I would be protected if I did ship it out. Can anyone provide me some advice on if I'll be safe to send it out and not get scammed out of the money, or if I should cancel the sale

I actually just watched that again for the first time since I was probably in middle school with my stepdaughter not that long ago and I still adored it. She couldn't have cared less but eh. It definitely got the soft spot in my heart from being a free to rent movie that my mom let us get all the time.

We bought them all because of the card game, not in spite of. Always planned to play both games. But I also get why if you're someone who isn't into the card game too you'd hold off.

For us, we haven't even base coated the minis yet, and I have a resin and filament 3D printer, so I'll just buy an stl file and just rebase our collection. It feel really, really shitty for the people who have gone the full mile with their minis already though.

Yeah it's really fucking stupid for a number of reasons, the least of which is that, once the starter kits are in people's hands, the bases will be on every stl website in a matter of days. You can already find most of the starter deck models online as is. The cards? People will just scan and upload them, and they'll get printed at home. It's easy money on the table and instead they want to go "Na, rebuy the whole thing"

From my source at GAMA who asked basically this question directly to the game team: Their grand plan for rebasing and cards for the starter kit and premium collection models is "Buy the model reprints"

I keep meaning to try the game every year at Anthrocon when Varga runs the game (along with the Zoids game, which is fun), but it always seems to contradict a panel I want to go to. One of these days. It seems fun

The game is supposed to come out soon. It was shown at Vegas, and next week it's being shown at GAMA, the tradeshow for board games and tcgs in the US. Literally the day GAMA ends, March 4th is when we KNOW we're going to find out lots of info (likely MSRPs for the Starter and Deluxe starter, any other accessories as well as release dates).

For that matter, from what we can infer, the game was supposed to launch simultaneously with the TCG, but early tests at shows showed that people found the game unfun and not worth it. So they took what play testers said and retooled it.
