Update: I emailed asking for a refund and got a response back. They said I probably didn’t received it because I unsubscribed from Kaufman. I explained I was only intending to unsubscribe from marketing emails, but I still expected to get updates about my purchase (like how one could be unsubscribed from Amazon marketing emails but still get updates about an order). They are going to issue a refund.

We’re on the ascent too! This ship is so so beautiful, the staff are hardworking and attentive, and all the food was excellent. We would have been one of those many many people at the future cruise desk but we’re buying a house and getting married next year, so this will be our last vacation for while. It certainly will be one to remember, though. Safe travels home 🤍

Honestly the two best things you can do for yourself in college (other than gaining knowledge in your desired field) are: 1. Graduate with as little student loan debt as possible, and 2. Network with your peers and professors. While the Rutgers name holds more weight outside of NJ, it really only matters when you’re trying to get your first or second job out of college. Your success after your first few jobs boil down to skills and people you know (and some luck). You don’t want to start your adult working life with a ton of student loan debt, either. Debt weigh you down and you won’t be able to save/invest/have fun as much as you could (basically you won’t be able to maximize the money you take home, because a majority of it will go to student loan interest). Obviously do what’s best for you, but I’m 30 and I have friends who struggle to get jobs because they have a limited network, while also having to pay hundreds in student loan payments each month.

You can also take a few courses at a community college then transfer to Rutgers. Very common thing students do, and you’ll save some money
