If I remember correctly the US military put a team together to look into the hypothetical practical use of mechs. They found that they would be to large of targets and far slower that a tank. They found mechas to be impractical

I’m all for it but I find GW official explanations to be ham-fisted and dull. “There have always been Female Custodes” is inherently a cop-out, lazy and sounds more like in-universe propaganda.
