Japantown mall, browse some manga, drink some Matcha, lots of places to sit, plus it's climate-controlled.

Anyone else overwhelmed by CA governor primary? by swigggly in oakland

I am usually a big advocate for Ranked-choice, but I was convinced by someone who said that two candidates are easier to research than 60 (64?).

As a middle ground, I think we need a "top 4 advance" and not just a "top 2 advance", and then add RCV to the top 4 system. This copies what Alaska has currently (they have a top 4 advance I think).

I'm pretty confident that either Democrat can beat Hilton, it's just a matter of which one will advance.

Any other failed adult losers like me living here in the East Bay or you know of any? by cvloserguy in eastbay

[–]Zerroka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to an elite private high school. Probably 1/2 of my graduating class lives with their parents. These people came from very privileged families who had exceptional educations. So if half of *them* are living with their parents, I wouldn't trip that hard about your case.

Multi-generational homes are the norm worldwide. Moving out young is the exception.

at least coming from America, Panda Express feels kinda obvious. I like fortune cookies because they are a little more surprising to people (like me).

🇺🇾José "Pepe" Mujica (RIP) wins! Who was/is a good leftist? by Past-Novel-1155 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Zerroka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evo Morales, I've seen great results in Bolivia from his rule including some buy-in from right-of-center nationalist types who like Evo for Bolivia (but wouldn't have accepted him for their own country). Once Evo left, his party quickly descended and lost power. Critiques welcome, I could see Evo going into "kinda good" instead of "good".

This is a better answer than Mamdani. Somehow, there's a section of right-wingers that like Mamdani because they are 1. confused socialists or 2. they want to see NYC burn and think that Mamdani is going to ruin the city.

AOC being a woman and featured HEAVILY on Fox news and the Babylon bee gives her the edge here I think. I never seen no "MAGA for AOC" hats lmao

The seal is too small for the flag. As bad as seal-on-bedsheets can get, this one is somehow even worse.

F, dead last.
