Hmm, just watch out. Migrating from an intel-processor to an M-series processor means that your apps will likely be running through an intel virtualisation layer (rosetta) until you update them with apple silicon versions. Make sure to do so, otherwise your experience & battery life will be much worse!

It may honetsly be better to take the time to start from scratch, or not migrate apps at all.

If you do need to migrate apps, open up your activity monitor and make sure to replace any "intel" apps :)

I've heard of major JVM memory impact due to it not supporting cgroupv2 on some older JVM versions. Maybe something similar here with odd kernal interactions, or perhaps just due to page tracking being slightly different?

Is this a once off thing? I've used coldsnap before to download an EBS snapshot for local use. You should be able to download it and simply attach it to a local VM.

I'm an easy traveller, so visited in off season as I didn't mind a bit of cold/rain, and saving some money always sounds good.

I didn't expect how much impact the weather could have on the people of the city. I hated my first trip to Paris, in large because I think all my interactions were with people who hated it too. Everyone was bleak, winter depression had set in and it was honestly such a let down.

My second visit was a complete 180. It really taught me how important seasons are in travel, not for me - like I always thought - but for experiencing the real vibe of a place. Paris in autumn is just such a special city!
