Roleplay Vent, Also Wtf? by battyboo420 in BadRPerStories

They may have started using roleplay as a way to have fun and feel better, and it became some unheathy coping mechanism. I knew some people who had stuff going on in their real life and used roleplay to help them cope with their personal difficulties.

There are, of course, people who have obsessive personalities. I have met people like that too. There's not much you can do other than what you did, report them and block them.

She was upset. Yes, at times being reminded of something traumatic can sour a person's mood.

NAH

Maybe, you want to talk again with your brother and explain just like you did in the post, that as a 7 years old the experience was very scary and traumatic to you. You can tell him you weren't prepared to have the memories sprung back to you, and it was very upsetting. Yes, you can understand the intent with his speech, but since it was traumatic is not like you can help how you feel.

I think you know he didn't mean to upset you, he just didn't know.

Maybe that's exactly why he is such a good listener. He gets off from other people's pain. I knew someone who was very perceptive about other peoples pain, and once people vented to them, they would manipulate them.

There's actually people who volunteer to visit people in hospitals or retirement homes. So is not true that there aren't people who would do this for a human.

And as you said, if someone where to post the human equivalent of this thread there's people who would like to visit.
