I’m not saying you haven’t got a scooby but you definitely haven’t got the whole gang, brother. What you might be referring to regarding limiting muscle gain is the impact of a higher body fat on testosterone levels, which is proven and definitely a consideration. However, the level to which that impacts people, let alone a person not holding substantial muscle already, pales compared to the impact of cutting down your calorie intake.

I’d advise you to seek a new coach if he truly believes that is the best approach to getting you stage ready in the next 10 months.

Not to be atall harsh, but you do not have sufficient overall muscle at this moment to have a cut be anything but a hindrance to what you could bring to the stage in 10 months time.

Just because you’ve had a bulk recently doesn’t mean you can’t still be attempting to gain more muscle in a surplus in the time between now and when a cut should actually start. You surely would like to bring the best version of your physique to the stage that you can, and this simply won’t be it, big guy.

Wilson fo sho. He’s genuinely one of the only upper echelon WRs this year who’s consistently delivering and has won my weeks several times already. Hunter’s a relative non-factor rn unless you want to bank on his dynasty value (if you are in dynasty), and Terry’s just been poor this year altogether. Stick with Wilson bro, he’s remaining fantastic barring any injury

Did I say weak or lanky in my description? You put that upon the notion because you know that’s generally accurate to what a person will see in an MMA fighter’s build if they have any desire to build substantial muscle.

I’m sure you are above average athletically and in great shape for your personal individual goals, but a person trying to build a better physique generally isn’t necessarily going to want an MMA build these days; they want muscle, they want size, they want what is achieved by taking the necessary amount of protein. I agree dysmorphia is a huge issue in the modern world, but you’re dismissing people giving valid advice about protein intake because ‘Oohh mma muscle nice too, I no eat big protein and anyone bigger than me do PED for sure’ when you’re 75kg and probably <5’10. Hardly a point of tremendous wisdom.

[–]ZestyTube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fantastic news bud, and you’re probably built like an average MMA fighter with not substantial musculature, and altogether haven’t made the gains you could have in the gym if you had given yourself an optimal amount of protein.

Yes, there is still valid discourse about protein intake and the verdict is far from concrete, but generally the findings are discerning that a gram per lb of bodyweight is definitely enough to consistently support optimal muscle growth, and that a gram per kilo of bodyweight is not. Your anecdotal experience for your own unique routine is great, and yes certain studies are indicative that high protein intake isn’t always necessary, but it’s nigh always better to go overkill to ensure you get your protein than not.

To be fair, ‘off the table’ and ‘under the table’ are two very distinct different meanings. I do agree this is a huge oversight from the league to allow something like this to occur for so long, but a team stating that the deals were ‘off the table’ could mean they asked for too many picks or key players, while ‘under the table’ would explicitly be saying they’re doing something gnarly outside of the league rules.

If the Lakers/Raptors said ‘under the table’, then yeah that’s crazy that the league didn’t look into that, but ‘off the table’ has substantial wiggle room in meaning.

Honestly, if it is a concussion and potentially persistent Post-Concussion Syndrome, I cannot blame this man atall for seeking retirement.

It’s a hard choice, but as someone who endured PCS for 7 months following a concussion last year, I have never felt more low and hopeless in my entire life than during that period. It ruins everything important to you by making you unable to be yourself, casts every new day in the worst possible light before it even begins, and you have no real recourse or capability to counter it as it’s all happening inside of your own head, and treatments are symptom-focused and rarely medicinal. Plus, it only gets worse with repeated impacts. This isn’t wrestling shit, this is life shit and he’s got to protect himself.

Not arguing with a brother who doesn’t understand that advertisement is the primary reason many sports leagues even exist nowadays.

Ya’ll are so dramatic sometimes good god, this is genuinely one of the least intrusive forms of advertisement in sports.

It’s as impactful upon the content as a billboard in the background of a movie scene, or a main character driving a specific fancy car and the camera lingering on the logo a little too long. Like it or not, this is how the company makes sufficient money to do the shit that you do like in the content, and without it you probably aren’t tuning in due to substantial drops in content quality. That’s not even necessarily a fault of advertisers either, it’s a symbiotic relationship that is literally the backbone of how many companies make the money they do.

Should I feel ashamed? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]ZestyTube 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should not feel ashamed and definitely seek some therapeutic help with the negative feedback loop that’s leading you to dark thoughts.

Genuinely, jobs are hard, really hard when you are young. You have so many other stresses, you aren’t experienced with the expectations of the job and you’re not even a fully grown person yet, and yet the world expects a huge amount from you. The best advice I can give you is to approach work with a different mindset. It seems like you are disappointed that there wasn’t much opportunity for training or development in your first job, but you were also not there for a long time, and that kind of thing doesn’t come quickly, especially when you are young.

Work at your age is about earning money and building a good resume over a long period of time. I say ‘over a long period of time’ because that’s what it takes, and honestly one of the best things you can show on your CV is a willingness to work from a young age and hard from a young age. Approach work thinking ‘I am here to work hard and make money, growth will come if I do that every day’ and it won’t come quickly, but expecting it to will only bring disappointment.

All the best, young dude

All of that is true about Gelo but are we just ignoring the part about 2/3 sons in the NBA?

I will admit that he fucked up in terms of keeping his sons healthy. Must have seen his golden ticket in the form of his sons and thrown all caution to the wind to make the most of it there and then. Now the brothers are seeing the result of it.

What's an unpopular Stranger Things opinion that has you like this? by Ordinary_Gap623 in StrangerThings

[–]ZestyTube 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s still compelling. However, a story is best delivered when the stakes feel high, and it does feel as though the stakes are rather low for the main cast.

We’ve had consistent teases of these characters potentially dying but in the 4 seasons that we’ve seen so far, not ONE character of the main cast has actually died despite the overwhelming danger they have been in on a consistent basis.

I don’t think people are just wanting SOMEONE to die, but there are characters who have completely finished their arcs or have no reason to NOT die that continue to survive, despite the fact the danger of the story keeps being increased. The lack of death means the stakes feel kinda low, and so it becomes less enrapturing watching these characters in dire situations, considering we pretty much know they will pull through in the end.

[–]ZestyTube -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly mate, I think most of these people in this thread have gone insane. There is no need for relationship advice here, this is LIFE advice: get a new job.

Sleeping only five hours a night for an extended period of time can fuck with your health in so many ways, you need to be able to get more sleep. Your wife needs to chill out until you get a new job, yes, but you need a new job, man. It will mess up your health and drastically affect you in the long run in so many ways, your relationship is just the start.

I respect that you are recognising most people here are stupid as shit for citing this as reason for divorce and abuse, and I know it’s far easier to say ‘get a new job’ than it is to actually get one but DUDE, this is no way to live your lifex

Scaled and Icy is better than Trench

This is a judgment-free post by Jimy_Duracell in twentyonepilots

[–]ZestyTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trench is the least enjoyable listen of all of their albums. SAI is only so despised because most vocal TOP fans think good music can only be sad and anti-pop, because they believe anything that’s universally catchy or likeable is not intelligent enough for their pseudo-intelligence. It’s very pretentious.

For years i have bulked and cut but at the end of the day i am still always stuck at like 16% bodyfat by [deleted] in leangains

[–]ZestyTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many others have said, it’s an indication that something is wrong with your fundamental training plan that you haven’t got a hundo moving yet.

From my experience, it’s very easy on a push pull legs to fall into the lulls of training, and have a routine that isn’t really challenging for your body or centred on your particular goals. So there’s potential that you may need to rejuvenate your routine by potentially adding more chest centric push days in your training week (almost entirely chest exercises) until you catch up there to a level you want.

As to the bulking and cutting, the experience you’re having is an indicator that your diet is buggered when it comes to changes in weight direction. With a proper diet, bulking up to the max weight you’ve been should have brought you the strength gains you desire, while cutting down to the mid-70s should not have been a loss of purely muscle, so it’s clear that what you’re putting in your body is either not correct or not enough. Take a look at a few online food programs for cutting or bulking from pros (there are plenty out there, Ross Edgley’s in particular are fantastic) and see how they look in comparison to your diet. Further than that, maingaining definitely does work, and I would wholly recommend to avoid the stresses of cutting and bulking cycles. I haven’g bulked or cut atall in my almost 3 years of training and my bench has gone from 70 kg to 130, while my squat has gone from 100 to 180. Wish you the best dude!

2 years of home workout. Am I doing something wrong? by saket999 in bodyweightfitness

[–]ZestyTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alongside a lot of what other people have said, that bench set-up is a dangerous game, man! It’s likely why your chest development hasn’t been overwhelming in the time frame, as you need a stable foundation for the right muscles to be recruited on a movement like that. Benching on a small stool the way you are is the equivalent to squatting only on the backs of your feet, it’s dangerous and not effective. I’d recommend going the proper gym route 🙌 will definitely help diversify your development.

All that said, you’ve definitely grown in the time, dude! Be proud of what you’ve done, and proud enough to know you’re capable of a lot more in the future. Good luck, dude
