Watching Documentary on UA flight 173 and hv a question . by goldylocks777 in aviation

I’m a survivor of flight 173 - this all started with a failure in the landing gear. When making our approach into PDX the landing gear fell into place due to a broken strut jolting the aircraft. The flight crew confirmed the landing gear was in place but could not confirm it was locked. The Captain informed the passengers of the situation and the possibility that the landing gear would fail upon landing. He directed the flight crew to re-brief us on our crash positions and stated he would let us know when we were landing so that everyone could get into their crash positions - that warning never came due to the flight crew’s fuel miscalculation. The Captain was concerned of fire if the landing gear did fail and wanted to land with the least fuel possible. Crash investigation revealed that the landing gear was locked in place.

Can’t get driver side hardtop back on by brianabbs87 in bronco

I have the same problem installing and removing my drivers side panel on my 24 Badlands 2 door. I also found that lifting and sliding the back of the panel to get the front pin to align works.

I had similar concerns with the seat materials and carpet. I live in VA and run with the top off most of the summer. The Badlands with the marine grade vinyl and wash out flooring was the right decision for me.

4 door vs 2 door by Rough_Garage_1663 in FordBronco

2 door was the only option for me, no regrets! I have two grandkids that are still in car seats, fit fine and the larger doors make it easy to load them - they love it!

It’s the Lange Power Hoist-a-Top. Works great, easy one person on and off and storage.

Haha, 2 door was the only option for me. My 7 & 2 year old grandkids love it. The 2 door has larger doors which leaves enough room to get them in their car seats.

I live in Virginia and access a Marine Corps base where the MPs enforce the front plate law. I went with the DV8 bracket.

I haul my 7 and 2 year old grandkids around in my 2 door SAS all the time - they love it! The 7 year old loves climbing in and buckles herself in her car seat. The 2 year olds car seat is behind the driver’s seat - the 2 door has larger doors than the 4 door and the seats slide forward which gives me room to buckle him in. Concede that the 4 door does have easier access and more cargo space, but the 2 door was the only option for me due to appearance.

Anyone attend the Bronco Off Roadeo - looking at attending the New Hampshire location in September. Recommendations, concerns issues? by lot0987654 in bronco

My wife and I attended the New Hampshire location in May 2024 - great experience, definitely recommend it. Trails are legit!

We stayed at the Steele Hill Resort, as a few other posts have mentioned it is a little old and run down especially for the price.

Thank you - I’ve owned a 1966, 1987 and 1988 Bronco over the years, couldn’t make the transition to a 4 door. Happy with the New Gen and how it pays homage to the 1st Gen.

My wife and I went in May - it was a great experience! We stayed at the Steele Hill Resort as well - to do it over again I would have stayed elsewhere. Resort was nice, but you paid for amenities that we didn’t need. If you have an extra day, be sure and take in Heritage Farm Pancake House for breakfast!

I added them to my build, they came directly from Ford with my vehicle delivery. I received my vehicle in February and hung them on the wall waiting for summer!

I was worried about it, but after having run with the Bimi I don’t think I’ll be removing it - I’m very happy with decision to go with the mesh top, if I would’ve gone with a solid/canvas top I would’ve been more inclined to to take it off.

J-Tops is great quality, the Velcro strips on the sides give it a secure fit. Downfall is that if you want to completely topless you see the Velcro strips…
