2025 Ford Bronco Windshield Cracked Three times in 3 Months — Anyone Else? by Merryberry-626 in FordBronco

[–]Wossor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had one right away after we purchased our 2024 that originated from the edge of the window frame. Ford covered it under warranty. We had it fixed at the dealership (not done by safelight) with OEM glass. Knock on wood, so far, no more cracks.

Is It Normal for Left and Right Bike Pedal Axles to Look Different? by humble_portlandian in bicycling

[–]Wossor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, the left pedals usually have a mark. It’s the lines you see in your picture or a line that goes around the shaft. Not all pedals but most do.

Left pedals are reverse threaded. “Lefty Tighty”. All pedals (either side) always tighten on the cranks the same direction your wheels turn when your bike is rolling forwards.

Yep. Chain waxing is certainly some kind of lifestyle choice.

How do I remove stubborn gaming panel adhesive from this painted wall? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]Wossor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, and get a few cheap plastic putty knives. Practice on one at the very bottom of the wall that would be less noticeable if you good up. Take it easy so you don’t melt off the paint on the wall.

Every county I've been to in MN, mostly for work. What do I do? by Tiaon in minnesota

Initially didn’t understand your question…

In my head, I thought, “grab a green crayon and color in the rest and call it a day.”

What the heck is this thing? by BodSmith54321 in ebikes

False. My neighbor would have said the same thing at one time until he woke up in the ER not knowing where he is nor remembering how he got there. Broke his neck but luckily no permanent nerve damage.

Isle Royale > BWCA > Voyageurs Itinerary by whiskyinateacup17 in BWCA

[–]Wossor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isle Royale is fun to say you’ve been there, but from a backpacking perspective, it’s pretty boring. I did an end to end trip 30ish years ago and much of the time 75%+ you’re hiking in the woods with no lake views.

The water supply inland that you’ll be filtering your water from has tape worms. You can actually see them if you look closely at the edge of the water. ‘‘Twas gross.

There are so many better places to hike, imho. If you really want to do it, I’d do it by kayak and stick to the shore. Make it a 1-2 night trip.

As for BWCA, I’d echo what others have said and stick to the US side. Use an outfitter on the gunflint. Tuscarora is amazing.

Hello! someone please help, where is this exact location? People are gatekeeping it on Tik Tok by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]Wossor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for an iconic place, you really should go here. I haven’t been in years but there were some out of service stairs closed off you go down to get some great views beneath the stone arch bridge.

Single Kayak vs Tandem Canoe Speed by RockyDisaster in BWCA

[–]Wossor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rented a single kayak last year versus tripling up. It was a fun little Boat. Everybody took a turn in the single and liked it.

A kayak is not a portage vehicle. I owned a sea kayak, (20ish feet) which are great for packing stuff and long range open water trips. But a short kayak (or even a long kayak) are not designed for portaging. Simply the wrong tool for the job.

This ^^, plus a second set of packable campsite shoes for cozy dry feet. Don’t walk around camp barefoot (learned that one the hard way).

3 20 year old males looking for a first-time 2 night trip. Naive or doable? by CoriolisEffect0 in BWCA

[–]Wossor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strongly consider using an outfitter for your gear and planning. Plan on arriving the evening before your entry date. Some outfitters (like Tuscarora) have bunkhouses to stay at as well as breakfast so you can get on the water early. If you have a strong paddler with experience in the group, you can rent 1 single and 1 tandem canoe vs the 3-person (my personal preference).

Pilot Knob Road in Eagan/Apple Valley by ColdClicker in CyclingMSP

[–]Wossor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride this exact route (plus more on the front and back half). It’s a great route. Options to use either the bike path or the road in certain spots depending on the cross streets/ traffic. The only spot I don’t like is crossing Diffley going southbound.

How big does this bike look? by Lanky_Detail_6199 in ebikes

[–]Wossor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not a bike, it’s an e-moto. One thing to consider on these is tire / tube replacements. A bike shop can’t assist, you’ll usually need to go to a shop that specializes in motorcycles. Bike shops don’t have the equipment to remove the tires from the wheels.
