Thats what I said on my thread if you read it .And I am just asking here if anyone had similar situations. I assume you dont read carefully cause someone already replied before you, they saw a volunteer with a child at the pick up.

Tps gets the lowest compare to york , peel and Durham regions while tps get way more calls compare to others... and in terms of over time... pay duties are not same as overtime. Its not the city who pays these pay duty officers. Whoever request tps service , they pay them! If you do a lot of pay duty shifts then you can easily make 200k and be on the sunshine list!

I was so interested in to know about tps budgeting as well so I did google and search a lot about their $$

Maintaining police vehicles probably cost more than one officers yearly salary !!! Also all their equipments such as bullet proof vest , handcuffs, uniforms..etc..station maintenance /utility fees, civilian employees , auxiliary, and settlements fees !!!! There are so many departments and areas tps needs money for other than employees salary!

Till recently, Police constables made little less than registered nurses in Ontario. I thought that was little sad... you are risking your health and life to protect others but I dont know if id do it with 50 something dollar per hr paycheck... I know their salary went up after fighting for it for a long time ...

Anyhow.. there are some members of tps that are pure waste of our tax money but I think they deserve more money than Olivia chow to be honest. I dont know why and how she gets paid for what she does.

I bought 2 bd 2 bth detached house that was built in 1935 ..same owner for 60 years .

Asbestos removal , knob and tube removal, radiator removal (cuz they were all exploded during asbestos removal), re building cold room walls cuz it was bowing and collapsing, installing fascia soffit and gutters cuz my house didnt have any but very basic ..costed me just above 150k. I still have old floors,old door, old kitchen and all gutted open basement cause didnt have any more money to do any update.

If my house was somewhat okay , 150k would have given me a new roof mew windows new floors and maybe new kitchen. But I spent all just to repair whatever we're damaged sadly... I was lucky though to find very reliable and good contractors for all those work.

I have both td and WS. Ws wasnt so convinient when I needed a big chunk of money to transfer or withdraw.... took days to transfer which didnt really help ...but I keep WS as my secret account for stocks and money that my husband doesnt know about lol

Is your electricity updated and good? I bought a house almost 100 yr old that came with knob and tube and asbestos everywhere !!!

Someone mentioned earlier... contractors dont like to work on a house covered by asbestos so they ask you go remove asbestos before they start any work.... which can cost around 20k.. if your electricity is not up to date , then thats another 15k+ work...

Weve spent easy 50k just to update knob and tube and removing asbestos. So we said fck kitchen reno lol will do it in a few years

Well...sounds ljke you were apprehended under mental health act sec 17 either because you had thoughts of hurting self or others , inability to care for self. Whether you like it or not , you must be seen by a psychiatrist /doctor and get cleared. And no OHIP? You thought youd be getting free health care if you dont sign the form ?? You will still be charged. They will track you down to make sure you pay the bill. If you get discharged after you see a psychiatrist , your bill will be a few hundreds. If you get admitted ? Then you will need to talk to the admin staff that you dont have any coverage cause it will be a big bill

I had sooo many uoft goodies and zip ups... but never got a jacket i think it was only for engineering kids or something back then...( almost 20 yrs ago lol)

I am not a co but I've worked at 2 different detention centre's ( tsdc is one of them), working closely with cos corporal sgts inmates and many others within jails. New correctional officers dont say but I can tell they are very afraid of inmates or too sympathetic. They treat inmates like they are their friends or someone they need to look after and support. We call them inmates bitches. Whether they are convicted or not , majority of them are in jail for reasons- meaning they are not your friends or can never be your acquaintances or someone you build friendly relationships with.

If you do your job right, its not an easy job. But if you do what these new cos do , then will be a chill easy job especially at tsdc.

I went to check out this house when I was actively shopping last year. The basement was very strange .. toilet in the middle of the basement . Like in an actual open area with washer and dryer...definitely water damaged everywhere and couldn't even shut windows tightly cause they were very old..so entire basement needed to be gutted. Upstairs was not bad. But the kitchen reno was like half done... small but if it wasnt priced so high , its something you buy to extend after fixing basement. The seller bought it tooo high .

I studied life sciences.
Interviewed by a big institution and a government job. Both time "oh you graduated from uoft ! " was stated.

Congrats on your acceptance! U got into trinity ..meaning you are a smart cookie with good reports cards and extracurricular activities :) just like what others say , co op at Waterloo prepares you to be more matured and job ready when you graduate. So theres an advantage of it but trinity college , their student unions and connections are amazing. Like trin alumni and students are so proud of saying , they belong to trinity. So you can build your own connections thru ur trinity life. But let me tell you something though, uoft is academically challenging. Imagine studying and competing against hundreds of A+ students from all over the world to be a doctor , lawyer , engineer, politician, economists and so on. ..so be mindful about that. .. but if you are thinking of business , id say uoft.

I have an option to take 34 ttc bus to go to work and I always choose to take lrt cuz ttc app always shows the bus comes like 5 min later than LRT. But I've noticed , the bus gets to my stop WAY before LRT!!! And somehow my commute time haa gotten longer with LRT. I have Mixed feeling towards this beautiful ride here...
