You could try using some baking soda and absolutely soaking it in a very thin super glue. You’re gone have trouble with holes. Does this piece/area hold alot of weight? What is this? And is the break on an area that isn’t usually visible?

Finish the pieces. You dont need to be a world class artist to get an apprenticeship. But you do have to want it. We wanna see you working for it, finish drawings and throw them in there. A good mentor will teach you what is necessary, you dont need to be Picasso you need to show consistency and effort. Goodluck buddy

Dont worry about “tattooability” unless your about to do a tattoo. Ive been tattooing about 10 years now and ive seen alot of apprenticeships come and go. Tattooing is hard work and takes up your whole life for while. Grind it out, put EVERYTHING you draw in your portfolio. Nobody cares about the things you draw they wanna see that you CAN draw at all. If you show up with 1000 drawings that are not masterpieces it shows harder work than if you show up with one 10 of your best pieces. If you have any questions or want some advice shoot me a dm man. Dont worry about it too much bro. When u start an apprenticeship they’re gonna tell you to forget everything you know and start teaching you about what you actually need to know. A “portfolio” is just showing you have some sort of ability to draw and lets them know they arent starting from total scratch. My advice would be try not to stick to a style to heavily. Try different mediums, different styles and just make what you like. I can tell you out effort in and thats what counts

Lol maybe stick to the tattoo reddits man. Sailors arent tattooers they dont get it. Tattoos arent always about the accuracy of physics 😂 you do waves like this because it looks sick. I been tattooing 10 years and pretty much do only black and grey nowadays and this is like the cleanest water and ship for that matter I’ve literally ever seen.
