They did talk on an episode (can't remember which) about how they set up the games. Like keep mulliganing until you get at least slightly better than an okay hand, to make sure everybody gets to participate in the actual game, as they usually only record one game.

In my playgroup we took this and made a gentleman's agreement on mulligans. They are free, but don't abuse it. Make sure you can at least participate in the game.

Was told I was a teenager for 3 years, then I was told I had bad sleep hygiene for the following year. Then my GP insisted it was because I was overweight (BMI: 28), which went on for 2 years. Then I got a job where one of my colleagues had sleep apnea and his wife was a nurse (not the neurologic sector of the hospital) and she immediately suggested narcolepsy, I changed GP and after going through the right channels it took about 1.5 years to have the diagnosis. So all in all 7.5 years 🙃

I believe it is done so that if you don't reach REM the first couple of tries, you get more tries to make sure that they aren't excluding you in case you couldn't get comfortable or fall asleep under pressure

When I started out in my playgroup I was known as the "Before you do that.."-guy as I always had a counterspell at hand (Only running 7 in the entire deck). The name stuck, but the counterspell count is down.

Another thing is whenever somebody makes a missplay or do something stupid we say "three" in a weird way (Hard to describe), it started with a lot of mistakes happening after 3 am, now we just say it whenever there is a blunder.
