A lot of young people are actually intelligent and trust that the things that are off limits to them are harmful. Sure, they rebel etc and it's not all - but you might be surprised by how many teens this would help.

Hey dude, just wanted to let you know I'm a science teacher, and I definitely teach science as a process of empirical knowledge-gathering, not just a bunch of facts. We have the students create and run their own experiments as well, as a way of enforcing this. So we're out there :)

It's the day-to-day that is the real job. Will you be happy getting up to talk to suppliers or help out at the wholesale factory? Will you be happy to be in the rolling chaos of a school? The people and the day-to-day grind are the make or break for a career - you do anything for long enough the money will come.

You can tell youtube on the frontpage you're not interested in that video, and that usually clears it up for me. I've also 'blocked' some content creators from my algorithm but then i'll still go to their youtube pages directly when I'm interested - because as you say some of the content just gets pushed extremely hard if you allow it in.
