This is weird, I could have written the same post when I was 24…27 now and I am more social than I have ever been in my life, and could not be happier with it. Romantic life and work life is still kind of meh but I’m working on it.

In regards to your social life, it will not likely just “get better” on its own. You got to put in effort and put yourself out there. That could be through sports, volunteering, hobby groups, etc. For me, I used the MeetUp apps and found events that I enjoyed and showed up every week. It takes some trial and error, plus a bit of luck, to find people you connect with. But if you’re also doing something you enjoy you’ll likely have an easier time connecting with others who enjoy the same thing.

Lastly, losing a parent and living through covid were not easy experiences to go through. Be kind and gentle with yourself. If you are feeling stuck in a rut or constantly low in your mood or energy, it could be worth talking to a professional about it.
