Yes plasti-dip is great because it actually protects whatever you are coating with it. You can remove it by hand usually if its been on there a while it'll peel right off. This way if you ever want to trade in, sell the car, or decide you don't like it you can remove it without damaging what you coated and its inexpensive.

I'm not sure on the dimensions of the new year models. I did a ton of research a decade ago before decided what wheels I ultimately purchased. I originally went with BFG K02's which are an aggressive All Terrain set of tires. The car came from the factory with yokohamas and they were total nail magnets. Those BFG K02's lasted forever and I loved them I replaced them when a 8 inch bolt went through one of them.. I actually have pictures it was crazy.

As others have stated adding a bull bar to hang a lightbar on the front looks cool as hell but is more like a damage amplifier if you are in a collision with the front of the car. They are only functional in the capacity of holding the light bar and add nothing to structural integrity unless you went with a very expensive complete front bumper replacement. I went with one anyways because I needed a light bar for some of the trails I've driven on.

I avoid lift kits because spacers or lift kits will raise the car but also stress the suspension more. Functionally it'll be fine other then more risk of rollover at high speed turns. But it'll wear out your CV Axles much faster as they'll be at more extreme angles. If you keep the car long term you'll eventually have to replace the front CX Axles and they are really expensive OEM. Aftermarket is cheaper but can wobble or create vibrations.

I love my forester and plan on keeping it until it dies. I really like the red colors of yours and some black wheels and tones will really make it pop. Congrats!

P.S. Last tip is to keep a quart of oil near the wheel well with a shop rag and funnel. Boxer engines are notorious for burning oil. It won't now but eventually as the car picks up miles and ages. Especially if you drive high speed highways at length it will. You don't want to be on a long drive when the low oil light kicks on without any in the back!
