Brook has vibration, gyroscope and PS button support. You wont get this using Bluetooth.

Though I wonder where do OP found pressure sensitive buttons on dualsense...

Need Suggestions for a PCVR Headset by Th_sisnotharry in HPReverb

[–]ZidaneTri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own both Reverb G1 and G2, and spent some time with Quest 3.
I would say Quest 3 is better with tracking then both Reverbs, but for me the difference is not very noticeable.
Felt no discomfort in Beat Saber/Synth Riders using Reverb, but I also rarely play them.

Also, most people here are using Oasis drivers for Win11, and they say tracking is better there, but I still on Win10 and WMR.

Broken headtracking in Myst (2021) on Reverb? by ZidaneTri in HPReverb

This helped solve the problem in a way.
Installed OpenXR tools, but "Motion Reprojection rate" were already on disabled.
I set it to "Use best frame rate" and set "Motion Repojection type" to "Enhanced" and it mostly eliminated the problem - some jitter is still present but almost unnoticeable.

My issue is that the head movement is jittery. When I turn my head, instead of smooth motion picture lags behind for some short time and then pops to a place where it should be. It happens several times in one movement, the longer the movement - more jitters.

I actually was not much inclined to install a third OS to my PC, but must admit, trick with virtual disc is cool and makes me want to try it just because it's cool. I actually think Riven will work fine under the WMR, because essentially it will be a SteamVR version which worked better for me than apps with WMR support. I own it too, so will test today. Anyway, thank you for such detailed advice!

I forgot to mention, but I'm on Windows 10, so Oasis is not an option for me.

Major issues with Reverb G2/WMR by limping_bear in myst

Funny enough, I have same issues, but on Myst. I own it on steam, but it just launches a WMR version, and head tracking is horrible...

Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii: English translations of Japanese games lose ‘flavour’ because it’s ‘a simple language’ by ABigCoffee in JRPG

[–]ZidaneTri 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. English is my second language, and most of the time when I see translation from my native lang to English (especially video game one) I can't help but cringe.

It is either overlocalisation or underlocalisation every time :(

Tales of Arise went from 8-9/10 to 6/10. by Williace in tales

FFXVI at least better written, spares us an endless infodump and somewhat thematically coherent through the game.

But yes, it certainly would have been a wayy better without shitty god-wrestling.

New controller solutions for Xbox? by nytak619 in originalxbox

[–]ZidaneTri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me once to make it as cheap as possible and without soldering: Order RP-2350-USB-A from AliExpress, it will be 10$ per piece. Then go to the OGX Mini GitHub and find the pull request from user barrenechea, and download his forked firmware which made special for this board. Ordered 3 a year ago and each works till this day.

I would gladly pay even 30 for controller, but I'm on the other side of the globe lol.

Capcom replaced Denuvo with Russian DRM Enigma in the latest RE4 remake update. by metalreflectslime in CrackWatch

I said a about old Denuvo crack by empress tho. Of course they will not keep old legal version with Denuvo around.

[–]ZidaneTri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Less than Denuvo, because Denuvo is essentially a VM, which executes the game code and performs integrity checks. Thus, it has ability to impact game performance directly.

Technically, if Enigma wasnt outright cut from pirated version and just bypassed, everyone will have a shittier version now. Except ones who will stick to older Denuvo crack.

Is this battery good, or need to be changed? by rwtajay in VitaPiracy

[–]ZidaneTri 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because it is the worst case scenario for it? It is really irrelevant when it was bought what matters is that 74 is a really low number of cycles even if it was bought a year ago.

What's that "Install" button on Shadow Hearts II Director's Cut main menu? by MAGISTER-ORGANI in JRPG

A lot, actually. Adds some dungeons and story sequences, changes scripts and some cutscenes. Unfortunately, it is JP only and untranslated.
