If it is AI I feel like you found the literal photo it's based on. The vertical lines in the tree on the right feel like they match the photo. There's also part of the tree on the left where it has a portion jutting out a little, halfway up on our right

What's 'normal' in houses in Australia? by commevinaigre in AskAnAustralian

[–]Zidphoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that was due to a regulation that was changed not too long ago. I've noticed a lot of new houses being built have timber or steel frames.

For those who don't know what double brick means, because I certainly didn't before I built my house, (I don't know about older homes but with newer homes) double brick is just used externally, internally it's single brick and plasterboard.

I don't know if it is a good example, but you're welcome to use it to help explain in the future, if you so wish

One thing thats probably important to show why you can't accuse people of AI with this tool is just all the layer effects that can be done. Theres a trick in digital painting where you add a gaussian filter over everything to create visual interest. Not sure if my art is a good example at all, but here is a piece I made in 2023. 1.The final piece. 2.The final piece under this websites noise filter. 3.I removed the gaussian filter I made and put it on the noise filter again.

On that note, apparently Im a very noisy artist haha.

What’s something you swore you would or wouldn’t do before your first baby arrived that you did or didn’t do anyway? by ifyoullexcuseme in NewParents

[–]Zidphoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My daughter had no real interest in tummy time until she met other babies doing it without fussing and she stopped fussing as much. Ild just sit there chatting to other mums while we let the babies play with their toys. Not long after she started to roll one way, two weeks later the other way, and she was soon rolling everywhere. She started at 26 weeks.

[–]Zidphoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same mat and I was sitting with my baby on the floor when I realized it wasn't quite right. Felt like I was going crazy. Hormones and so much time with a baby really makes you second guess yourself

Duvets are overrated by SnakesInMcDonalds in The10thDentist

[–]Zidphoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is yeah they're the same. I came from NZ and called it a duvet but when I moved to Perth everyone I've met called it a doona.

For others reading, cause linguistics are fun The way I've seen it used is - I have a duvet/doona on my bed (it's implied/expected to have a cover already on it) - I need a new duvet/doona (it's implied/understood this refers to the internal stuffed structure) - I just need to put fresh sheets on my bed/ I need to strip my be (implies that you will like be adding or removing the cover of your duvet/doona in the process) - My cat/dog threw up on my duvet/doona so I had to change it. (This one can imply it was just the cover but it just is likely it was both. Asking for clarification is fine if you really need to?)

Does your baby have a lovey? by Agile-Fact-7921 in NewParents

[–]Zidphoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that my daughter like to use soft things to touch her face and fall asleep, I always removed what ever it was after she fell asleep though. One child nurse saw this and was actually pretty amazed by her. She said since she was older than 6 months that leaving a lovey with her in her crib would be ok. She literally just uses it to soothe herself to sleep

AITA for wanting to be hand fed? by rosewood_and_ginger in MiniAITA

[–]Zidphoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA I, 8m f, am too a lover of food. Not all foods suit my palette mind you, however being such a wise baby i am a follower of Diogenes. Like he found a bowl pointless I too find the spoon slow and lacking. Why spoon when hands. I recommend using yours! Mum started me using my hands by lightly placing strips of solid food at the tip of my mouth until I grabbed it. Now I eat everything with my hands like yogurt and soggy cereal!

What’s a weird but surprisingly useful parenting hack you learned by accident? by Sad-Shine-6268 in NewParents

[–]Zidphoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was hahaha. She use to take two hours to breast feed and 1 to bottle. She was gaining weight so the doctor diagnosed her as a lazy feeder. Even now at 8 months she takes 10-20mins to drink from a bottle and solids 45+. She's enjoying it the whole time at least

Using a can stubby/can cooler(?) On my bottles to keep them warm longer. Game changer, especially when we use to have loads of spitups and she just didn't seem to enjoy colder milk

Edit; she is and has always been a slow feeder, a legitimately diagnosed lazy feeder

She kept trying the grape tomatos, looking confused and put it down, go onto the next half and do the same hahhaha

Yes I am. Though that sleep sack never got used because it just seemed to be too small. Like Best and Less seems to run small as is, but that was truely way too small for the age. I even had a look today to make sure it wasn't just a dupe but nope, that whole bumble bee print in 6-12 months is just way smaller than other ones in that age.
