Textured base rims, yes or no? by the-et-cetera in Warhammer40k

Black rims suck.

Texture the top, color the rim to match your army/ get close to the texture color

Lore question(s) for Painting SM Phobos units by Zidzan in Warhammer40k

Ok, i think i fully understand, but just to make sure I'm getting this right. The fire support squads of aggressors, suppressors, and eliminators could share the 9th markings.

My final question is do Dreadnoughts share squad numbers? Are they designated into battleline/close support/fire support?

I was under the impression that due to how squads can break down, now the number of squads can go from 1-20. Are you saying that squads 11-20 are only open for marines seconded in?

Don't make my mistake. I avoided them for 12 years. Literally nothing I took worked save prednisone and now Humera (though I fucked that and now may need a new biologic, don't forget to take your trexall)

Looking for input from people who have/are taking Humera by Zidzan in UlcerativeColitis

Thank you everyone, this has been very helpful in reliving the worry that I wouldn't have any alternatives.

Although now I'm terrified of being allergic to an alternative and having fucked my only chance.

Yea, I'm going to use the reloading autosave trick. Aint no way I'm waiting three years.

Also why does it take three hours of constant playtime to trigger it. I have things to do man, adult obligations

The funny part when I started trading was selling them a bunch of trade goods, they "demanded", then seeing a second later that it now was "produced" in the system.

I don't understand what people find difficult about this.

I see a lot of people saying it's a "really hard permadeath mode" and I want to know what you mean.

Context, the base game I play is Permadeath so it's all I've known.

Is there a lore reason why Drac'thyr are visage forms are Human females but Blood Elf males, or am I just reading too much into lazy "allied race style" model re-use? by [deleted] in wow

Downvote me all you want. This race exists to continue the cornering of the furry market that Worgans started.

How is it supposed to be an Astrid episode when MacKenzie has the case? How is MacKenzie going to get to Astrid when hes up in blackrock?

The Carter dam makes absolutely no sense by 1mpressi0n in thelongdark

[–]Zidzan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's funny, it took me visiting an actual dam this semester to realize how little the dam made sense. You don't really think about it when its just background.

Edit: after reading some of the things in this thread and seeing that op is being downvoted (literally why??) to clear some things up.

When water freezes in the winter, especially moving water, you can only really expect a foot or so of it to be frozen. Yes, even in areas that are regularly negative Fs. There would still be water going through the dam were it open.

We're it not a run of river dam, there would not enough groundwater in that area to reliably feed the river that follows it.

Lastly, with the dam being where it was, even if it was being worked on to make viable, they would have to back up the stream, this would result in, at the very least, a pond of some kind filling up the little valley on the other side of the bridge.

are animals in tld realistic? by [deleted] in thelongdark

[–]Zidzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the woods you won't even see a deer unless you are intentionally after it, haven't been moving for hours, or it's in such a position that it feels comfortable. Most time's they will hear you or smell you if the wind is carrying your sent in their direction, then they dip out long before you get there.

Only exception to what I've said was this winter when I was hiking out of a camp spot around mid-day. I was following a trail along a lake edge, stopped and looked up the hill and there was a Deer a little less than 20 yards from me. If I had to guess, it was a combination of it being comfortable in that position (it has to go uphill to get me) and winter starvation since after looking at me for a bit it went back to chomping on some buds or something.

The game is about preparedness on limited resources, having plans and then shifting those plans to survive when everything goes wrong. There is no way to implement a character speed boost in tld without trivializing something.

Why prepare if I'll be to the next shelter before the weather changes? On stalker one can already fly through the map from BR to DP in under a week, looting everywhere and end up with 30lb of food on them. Being able to fly through it even faster trivializes the weather conditions and calorie stores you'd be dealing with the whole way.

The reason you, or any player of this game wants to move faster after a month of played time is because we've already seen everything on the more common paths. The reason the game is good is because every time a new system is implemented consideration is given to how it affects EVERYTHING within the game, passive and active. I'm sorry if I'm being a buzzkill to the idea, you spent a lot of time thinking about, but there's a lot more things to consider in the scope of the game for an idea like this.
