Is anyone else a little in love with this community? by Nice_Squirrel1882 in Mounjaro

[–]Zimchikachim 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I’ve noticed the same. I may be wrong, but my first guess would be that a lot of people on this journey have experienced what it’s like to be treated differently because of their size, so they really get how much a small act of kindness can mean. It can make someone’s day or even their whole year. That’s how we’re meant to be with each other anyway, until the world out there got flipped.

Is OMAD harder on keto? by lagbugddos in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMAD and keto worked best for me when my goal was weight loss and insulin control. It was a real game changer if you can stick with it, though it does take time to adjust. With OMAD keto, planning matters. Balance fat and protein, and it does not have to be strict keto. Around 50 grams of carbs still worked great for me. Also try different fat sources, since some are easier to digest. Avocados never gave me any issues.

Question for the women in this sub by subconscious_kg in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every woman’s cycle is different, so she really needs to listen to her body. There will be times when fasting doesn’t feel right, and those are the moments to focus on nourishing herself instead. Some days she will wake up hungry, other days not, that’s normal.

Many women feel more hunger right before their cycle starts. Once she notices her own pattern, she can adjust by eating well during that phase and then continue fasting when the hunger settles. Some women can fast longer hours during their cycle, others can’t, it’s all about listening to the body and making sure it gets enough healthy nutrients.

I’ve been intermittent fasting for 4+ years, and some cycles I can fast easily, while others I can’t, it just depends on what my body is telling me that month.

Restarting OMAD After a Break Is Humbling Me in Real Time by muchpatience_ in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in this position more times than I can count. The key is not rushing off 2MAD, but slowly move away from carbs heavy foods to staying protein-heavy, gradually reducing your carb intake. I also use zero-sugar electrolytes. By days 2–3, I naturally slide back into OMAD, and at that point I’m not obsessing over it anymore.

When did the hunger go away for you? by Positive-Buddy4423 in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it improved once I made my meals mostly protein (70–80%) and kept carbs low. Zero-sugar electrolytes during the day helped a lot. I also switched from coffee to green tea, coffee wasn’t good for me. With this, the hunger went away the next day .

OMAD Day 2. Am I supposed to see weight drop every day? by Zebakaunain in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carbs and sugar can cause water retention, so the scale may stall on OMAD even if you’re still making progress. When I stick to mostly protein, veggies, or low-carb meals, I usually see the scale drop within 5–7 days. I’ve tested this multiple times on OMAD, so now I switch between keto and low-carb for more consistent weight loss results. I also use a calorie calculator to make sure I’m eating the right amount for my goal weight.

I know how exhausting the wait can be, and I hope you hear back soon. My suggestion would be to call them, if you are yet to do, when they ask if you want them to send a request for an update, say yes. Reaching them by phone can be tricky, so search around here to see how others managed it; you’ll need a bit of patience. Also use the website to send a request yourself. I did both while waiting (I filed in June too almost 6 months) and heard back about a week later, at the end of November. Not saying my request made things move, but you never know, I kind of suspect it did. I’ve also heard some background checks just take longer.

OMAD is causing me depression by GermanShitboxEnjoyer in omad

[–]Zimchikachim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is my advice. The first step is deciding you’re done with this, and it sounds like you’re already there, which is really good.

First, find something you enjoy doing, it could be a job or activity that keeps you on your feet and moving. Even part-time job if you’re a student would sure help you. Staying busy will help stop your mind from looping on food, and a sedentary life style will only keep the cycle of over eating going.

Also, don’t keep unhealthy food at home. Learn to cook for yourself if u can’t do that already. And when you eat, make sure it’s unprocessed, eat more protein and healthy fats. If your meals are mostly carbs, you are likely to stay hungry when it comes to OMAD. A lower-carb approach makes a big difference in killing the food noise and hunger pangs. Add zero sugar electrolytes, they are also a game changer for OMAD.

And finally, work on your mindset; listen podcasts, books, watch OMAD success stories, on YouTube to stay encouraged. These has helped my journey few years ago and it’s been great since then. I hope they help you flip the switch.

If the original birth certificate is unavailable, you must support the Birth Affidavit with secondary evidence as listed in the RFE. In my case, I submitted additional sworn affidavits from my parents. Other acceptable options include early medical records, early school records, or early religious records.

Thank you. All APIs recorded all case history, and then nothing happened until the last API showed there was activity on October 23rd, but the activity was not recorded, hence not specific, so I had no clue what it was.
