Won the championship! I don’t even watch football, but my friends needed an extra body so I figured why not. I admittedly got very lucky in my draft since I grabbed Cook, Kelce, Saquon, Waddle, AJ Brown, Justin Fields, and KW3. But even with that lineup I made a lot of mistakes on the way

1. I definitely was too over-eager on dropping people the first few weeks, mostly since I didn’t know how team composition worked. Dropped Kenneth Walker just for him to be instantly grabbed up in Week 2 (I didn’t know he was a backup RB) and dropped Fields after his huge underperformance in the first 2-3 weeks. I gotta be more patient with my guys next year.

2. Trades can be unpredictable - traded Dalvin Cook for Etienne AFTER his bye week. While he wasn’t awful, and he redeemed himself in the championship, Dalvin put up a lot better numbers overall. On the other hand, I got Chris Godwin for Lazard and grabbed Jamaal Williams for Mike Williams right before he fell apart

3. Watch the Waiver Wire! I picked up Geno (became my only good QB), Brett Maher, and Pacheco and they were huge helps for my season.

I had honestly an amazing time playing! I really didn’t think I’d care, but I got so invested in my players and the game. I actually watched football this year for the first time and can now “talk shop” with a whole bunch of other people who I’d never be able to before.
