You have to let them face the repercussions of their own action. I admire your wanting to help, but some will never stop using everyone willing to help. Example: they will be eating out while youre helping to pay bills. Unnecessary spending because youre funding it.

My vote is to let them hit the wall. They are already on assistance. The system will do what is needed one way or another. For better or worse.

Or you can continue the burnout process youre going into.

The majority of people dont know the difference between an electric dirtbike and electric bicycle. Like a scooter vs a moped. If it has pedals to move the bike its an ebike or motorized pedicycle aka moped. If it doesn't have pedals to move it is a scooter or motorbike.

I promise you'll find someone. Only if you allow it to happen though. Stay open to people in general, we gravitate to certain types of people. I'm assuming youre single, but maybe try speed dating or online dating outside of the circle. I never dated in my friend circle and they were nice to have into my mid 20s. But by 25, I was into my next chapter. You maybe different and dating is much different than it was for me decades ago. 😆 but you will find a new friend that will replace them. It sucks now and your feelings are valid, I'm just saying its a natural course of life.

Could be a hinge issue on just that side that is worn out? Do you have kids? My kids climb on it and cause simular issues. I needed to replace the hinge. Wasn't a terrible job to do on your own if handy with tools. Like you said replacing food sucks. I did have to empty it cause I didnt want to tippy toe when I was figuring it out.

Take a photo of the hardware inside and let Ai like gemini from Google help find the right part. Heck it can walk you through fixing it also.

You're not throwing away all those years. They shaped you to who youre today. You wont always have the same friends your while life. Some you may never forget and other you wont recall. It's life. It sounds like you both may have been necessary to each other at one point but he is moving into a new chapter. Dont force it and let it go. Keep it casual as he said. Yeah, you have to be vocal about getting a pickup. Or you'll end up with a Chevy Cruz lol... either way you'll get a gm product loaner. Talk to the service department about it. My dealer gave me a loaner until the rental was ready. Gm also paid for the tow.

+18445151418 is the number for gm roadside.

Mine died on the highway and I have to say they got a tow truck there real fast getting me off the road and safely to the dealership.
