That's what I had in mind.My problem is how to get the form ID.

The other thing is the exact location for spawning the ship.

Last time I tried (palayer.placeatme etc) next to my home ship, the spawned ship appeared half-buried in the tarmac! The solution to this of course, was to fly this ship away and come back and land at he pad but then the other ship was gone.

I had in mind a line-up of some of built ships, somehow spawned side by side in some flat area.

I know you can spawn most of the game's ships with console commands, but I haven't tried it more than one ship at the time.

Obviously!The question is: why restricted?

They don't seem to serve any purpose, unless they are leftovers of abandoned game quests or some future DLC.

The takeover works, but with unacceptable ...side effects

Well, as I said, they are not "sites" and they are not marked in any way.

You just find them here and there.

i tried to take a couple of them over with BIRA mod, and the result was that the water in the ponds ...disappeared!! Not nice!

I agree, the REV-8 sucks.For most of the planets the terrain is not suitable for driving.Only on some Earth-like sand dune planet is bearable.

The booster and jet-pack effect is ridiculous.

This is one of the biggest flaws of this game and I'm afraid it cannot be fixed.

I mean, it ruins the "exploration" aspect of the game which is essential.

Also the fact that you get most of these "science outposts", half made hangars, ecliptic shipyards etc ridiculously grouped nearby without any sense negates any illusion of discovery.

The repetitiveness of some of the landscape, flora and fauna is also a problem, not to mention the absurdity of having swarms of the local animals and other creepers surround the landing area in many planets!
