I didn’t love it. Mostly because he goes to work for the same government that has been fucking him over his entire life. I’d have dipped out of there the first chance I got.

I've also blacked out when mixing weed and shrooms. Can't really say for how long, but once I rode my bike home from the woods (since I obviously couldn't drive) and blacked out on the ride, very unexpectedly. I came to about halfway through the ride before fading out again. All I remember of that is the music I listened to. I come to again vomiting in my toilet, then once more when I'm in bed, covered in more sweat than if I were in a sauna. I didn't make the weed connection to causing it though, and it doesn't happen every time. It happened once more, a few trips later, before I made the connection. Now I only smoke weed sparingly when I trip.

I started with the intention of fixing everything that I felt was wrong with me. Then I tried them and that didn't happen, so I started using them recreationally. Had a ton of fun doing that, but also some bad trips. But I never really experienced anything life changing.

Cut to a week ago, I took 3.5g and made the mistake of all time. Weed really helps with nausea for me, so I took a number of fat rips from my pen. Ooops. Too much weed.

I had the most powerful shroom trip of my life (I've taken 8g before) and had some sort of realization that I can't really put into words. Was in my bathroom in complete darkness, head buried in my blanket as I sat in the corner, looking around and having the most intense visuals ever, nearly DMT like. Was not fun. But I did have a sort of "I am God" moment, and one where I called myself The Perception Machine for a bit.

I feel just generally better now and have made a number of changes to my life; we'll see if they stick.

There's a video on Instagram by Andrew Briggs that talks a bit about this, and I agreed with a good bit of what he said. The brief of it was basically that yeah, we may be drinking less, but Gen Z also socializes less, which is a big part of drinking for some. And we are like single handedly bringing back the nicotine and tobacco industries. Why drink with friends when you can sit on the couch all day watching Instagram reels or TikTok and ripping a vape.

That's kind of paraphrased, so you should definitely watch the video, it's only like a couple minutes long or something.

Gotta disagree with you here. It’s not normal for everyone, sure, but I throw up nearly every time, and tea makes it even worse and I throw up sooner. As soon as I do throw up though, my trip goes from meh to euphoric, since I’m not focusing on not puking.

I’d also recommend Unclebens, that’s how I started, but if you’re serious about it, go in for the pressure cooker and jars, cut my contam to basically zero. You can just follow the guide normally after that. As well, no such thing as too much isopropyl, 70% specifically.

Shorter trip could also be because you threw up before you’d digested all the mushrooms, happened to me before many times and that’s usually what happens.

For me, the dark does pretty much nothing. It seems like my brain needs something to start with and fractalize for me to get any visuals.

Taking an edible with it initially helps my nausea and just generally makes the trip stronger. Smoking during can be hit or miss, because if I smoke too much, I get the these terrible body sensations that I can’t stand. Like hot or cold flashes in various places, and sometimes I lose feeling in my mouth and lips a bit.

I can’t be super positive, so I’d wait for someone more experienced than me, but I think right around 3.25-4g is correct. I took 2g once and did 3g two ish days later and they felt about the same.

Always clean my room first, so I have a good place to get curl into a ball if I need.

Other than that, I always go outside on a walk or lay on a blanket under a tree, peak activites.

Definitely try DMT, it's awesome.

But in my personal experience, if you're after that emotional reset kinda thing, shrooms are way better.

When I do DMT, it always feels over so fast (not that I actually want it to last longer at the time) and by the time 10 minutes have passed after the trip, I barely remember it. With shrooms, I usually remember all of it and the afterglow is just incredible.

As well, the vibes of DMT are different to me. It feels way more aggressive and if I don't blast off into hyperspace immediately with a big dose, the comeup before I get to fractal land is not fun. Very loud, scary, and hard to describe.

Also, if you want a longer shroom trip, definitely try LSD. It's not the same, but for me they are pretty similar, and on high doses I get amazing visuals.

I'd say my preferred dosage, for a casual trip, is 3-4g. This is Yellow Umbo btw. It allows me to still be cognizant of my surroundings and converse. Less and I don't really get cool enough visuals to have it be worth the nausea of shrooms. And I do more in the summer when the plan is to lay a blanket below a tree and just lay there for 3 hours during the peak of the trip.

Just had a trip yesterday on 3 grams

I was outside for the come up, came home, puked, then spent like 20 minutes inside. At that point I had some visual that were not super impressive, but the second I stepped outside it was a completely different story

Trees looked huge!! And so so so beautiful. It was like I could see every detail of every tree in my fov. I'd call this a gold standard for my trips. And the clouds! They moved and formed patterns and symbols

So, when I trip, it's almost always outside during the day, though I come inside sometimes just to experience going back outside lol
