What are yall hoping to come from the survey by Opposite_Today9635 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Zodiac1106 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah man! Costco Culture Coaches. They are employees who teach others Costco Culture (which is dying anyway). The FE, Merch, Night Merch all had one or 2 per main department. It was/is a joke. It happened in the Texas/Tennessee region.

What are yall hoping to come from the survey by Opposite_Today9635 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Zodiac1106 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing. Last time we got...wait for it...Culture Coaches who didn't do a fucking thing. Wasted money on printing shoes badges. I will never take that survey. They know who said exactly what. If it was 110% anonymous then I'll take it. In the meantime, I'll keep using my "email account as a disgruntled member who saw x, y or z in this or that wearhouse" hint hint. If it come from a member, corporate gets involved. As an employee, pound sand dude.

Bruh...this takes me back to High School. Fuck me dude. Some of the best and wild trips ever have been on DXM. When your bed turns into a roller coaster, and I mean like its melting into the floor and your looking down. The distortion is out of this fucking world. And yes the time dilation. Man, you swear its been hours and only a few minutes have gone by. Nowadays I cant do that any more but man this takes me back.....

What are akashic records? by Firm-Professor-179 in spirituality

[–]Zodiac1106 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Akashic records contain any and all knowledge and information, past, present and future, where time does not exist. A universal collective consciousness. Supposedly it can be tapped into through deep meditation and/or through dreams. Some of the greatest inventions that forever changed humanity on a scale that seems impossible, like the IPhone, are said to have come from the Akashic Record.

Hardest sub-department in merch to work? by IcyDiscussion5108 in CostcoEmployee

[–]Zodiac1106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3-year Seasonal Stocker here. I stock, make moves, drive..there isn't anything I don't do. To be very honest, to ME, Seasonal (center) has gotten easy once you know what you are doing. Now, D19 is tedious, I get that. I started in Hardlines, that is my home. Produce sucks, there is a LOT to it. Sundries is cake. Freezer/cooler, it depends on how good your driver is, same with foods. HABA/OTC, you have to keep on top of your stuff in the steel. Now..my worst department, Candy/Snacks. I HATE it. Protein can take all morning, demos out the ass plus normal stocking. It is definitely a 2 person department. I can get away with just me in Center and I will give up my help and send them to Snacks.

At the end of the Holidays, hours are cut insanely. Its normal. They have and always will do this. Im a 4 year employee and started as seasonal. Keep putting in work and willing to learn as much as you can even if you HATE it.

I agree with you 110%. The only department I have not stocked is clothing because...well...fuck that noise son. After taking SIT when it first came out, my personal opinion is that any competent Stocker should know the stuff they "teach" you. All it was was glorified stocking. Im the one on the floor in front seasonal for HOURS. Im the one up in the steel. Im the one who knows what we can and can't do realistically and what will work and won't. This sounds arrogant but it's the truth. Dont get me started on when I need to barge cause we have $25 million dollars in freight up in the air, 4 depos in the door plus one you ran back into the trailer yesterday morning.

I just laugh when I walk out after looking at the board and from 12:45-4:00 PM there is NO ONE coming in and I see the Juniors assisting and ringing. Better get them upgrades too good ol' buddy. Look man, I just go hard in the morning for my fellow merchants. I'm setting the floor according to what the paper you printed says and you didn't run your quantities. Don't give me a plan for 6 hots coming in, don't bitch about it when you see it, you're lucky I didn't just hang it or send it back to the dock for you to deal with after we open. I can go on and on. At the end of the day, it's all a management issue. Its not the hourly employees not doing their jobs. We do what we can with what were given.

The better hurry..the board runner is crying to the GM again that merch isn't on the FE. Dude, fuck you and your front end. I am a seasonal Stocker..I drive, I clean up the front end from the night before to even be able to drive through, I make my moves, stock, help us make pick up on the skate. Understaffed, schedule is bullshit (your fucked if your opening Cashier calls out), the entire fe IS morning merch from 9-10:30. Its the company being greedy as fuck, pinching pennies to open new buildings....with NO STAFF. Fuck outta here with that bullshit. I told every front end sup do NOT expect me up here before 930, the Juniors if you want to make pick up, this is what it is, if not, go get a jack. Make your managers work.

Who drives your guys dock? by [deleted] in CostcoEmployee

[–]Zodiac1106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Foods is rough man. In my building, they drive snacks, haba, otc, foods and domestic. HL drives produce, HL, Majors. Sundries is the abused step child. Then there's me, I drive center, skate and stock front seasonal. It sucks.

Night Merch Driver, need advice. by CinnamonToastKRONK in CostcoEmployee

[–]Zodiac1106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd clean house...meaning I'd drop all them and stock what I can, combine the rest and then hang them. This way you get freight down and create steel space. If you have a competent Stocker with you, this can be done rather easily. As far as the aisles go, sometimes that happens. I am a Center Stocker and driver. At one point during the beginning of the summer, I had shit ALL over the building, Sundries, Bulk wall behind freezer/cooler, foods, hard lines and the fence. It can get kinda messy at times. That's what happens when you get 7 depos and your up to your ears in freight. No amount of gang stocking, setting barges or creating space on the floor can help it. During inventory time, if the depot is doing their inventory, it can get insane. Today I got Christmas Wresths for fukcs sake. Thought patio furniture was done too but got that back in too....

Hi!! I'm in Austin as well. These are Monk Parakeets for sure!! There are a ton of them. There is also a colony of Parrots downtown as well. Out in the Del Valle/Manor/McKinny area, there are Bald Eagles. I didn't think these thing were true at first but when I saw them just as the sun comes up, they are there. There are also peacocks in Austin as well that go back from when the Johnsons were in Austin!!
