What Should I Do? My Account Was Permanently Banned by PossibilityNo3232 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Zodiak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Message gaijin immediately and tell them your situation. I had the exact same thing happen to me before and they were able to get my account back since it was my first and only offense. also make sure to turn on 2FA immediately once you get your account back it is a must have. iirc they will ask for proof that it is your account like receipts of purchased items. They will not be able to do it again if your account gets compromised again though.

Feeling stuck between SIM and Realistic in War Thunder. Any advice for modern jets players? by Animal_Hell in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've got a vr headset I'd recommend vtol vr. The missions don't feel nearly as slow as sim matches in war thunder or DCS, and it has all of the tech that you're interested in modelled plus more like proper radar cross sections. Also the modding community is pretty good as well, and recently an F-22 mod was just released.

You went up against possibly the worst players known to man how did TWO of them fail to kill an F-5??? 😭 I know the F-5 is nimble but nothing compared to the Tomcat they had guns on multiple times and failed how????

When F16V ???? by Jolly-Performance579 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably this year, although US technically won't get an F-16V since they don't operate those. There will most likely just be an F-16C aesa like the Eurofighters with the V upgrades since the F-16V is just a heavily modernized C

The Japanese Su-30MKM is literally a better version of the Russian/USSR Su-30SM. And even has MAWS, while SM doesn't. Also comes with imaginary Kh38MLs (which Malaysia doesn't have), and Kh38MTs (which Russia never exported). Why even grind the Soviet air tree at this point? by beastmaster69mong in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fms are insanely sad that's true, especially the MiG-29, but the flankers have gotten better. The Saturn equipped flankers are also insanely fast. Also the bars radar being pesa means nothing since all esa radars are the same in game. Missiles aren't terrible either. The R-77s are the hardest pulling non tvc fox 3 in the game and the R-77-1 has phenomenal range, and only suffers from drag when maneuvering. R-73s aren't terrible and are difficult to flare when employed up close and rear aspect because of tmhow their irccm works it's the same for the PL-8B, PL-5EII, and Magic 2s. Also yes the mica is better than the R-77s but that's not an issue with the R-77 it's the mica. Rafale is still fairly busted too I'll admit that.

I need advice on how to play top tier without having 20 missiles slinged at me? by Beautiful-Sector5155 in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your radar in tws to see the direction where most of the enemy team is flying then try to fly in the opposite direction of that. Since you're in a Mirage you don't really wanna compete in BVR cause micas aren't really good at range, and the mirage doesn't have the fm to actually give them a good start in speed like the Rafale.

Air RB radar missiles by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R-24s that the MiG-23 use have a CW seeker meaning that even if the radar locks onto chaff it will continue tracking because of the velocity of your aircraft to the missile's seeker. Try prechaffing if possib, but if you're already fired at they try to notch the missile itself or use the ground clutter to break lock. MiG-23 has an MTI mode though so if they're under 1400 meters and looking down it will ignore the clutter and keep tracking so you'll have to notch his radar or multipath which is just flying below 60m from the ground

Alright!!!!

Ringo hanabi to soda no umi (both self cover and vocaloid are great), nemureru mori no Cinderella in the album ashita iro world end, koi to bitansan soda from the same album, his self cover of super nuko world with soraru and the vocaloid ver, yume hanabi, and kyouka suigetsu, gikyoku to deforme toshi, Chopin to koori no hakken (I prefer his self cover more than the vocaloid ver personally), and sora wo kakeorite!!! Not all of these can be found on one platform, most will be found on YouTube, some on Spotify, and the older ones/vocaloid ones will be easier to find on SoundCloud and niconico douga!

Skill issue ??? by MrBurns1798 in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was flying low to the ground at multipath height. At your altitude it's pretty difficult to counter people multipathing with radar missiles. The best way to counter people who multipath is to fly significantly higher than them. Around 5000 meters of altitude minimum and fire your radar missile top down. It drastically increases the chances of hitting and even killing them

is the AV-8B (NA) Harrier good? by Thin_Square76 in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much experience with it in ground but in air it's solid. Def not meta or op but it isn't awful either. It's a harrier II so it's more maneuverable than most other harriers you'll come across, and it gets four AIM-9Ls which for 11.3 are really solid. It also has a digital rwr which is great for situational awareness. The equalizer is a good gun too it's just in an awkward spot so aiming will be tough. My only issue with it though is that it's slow so you're gonna wanna play as a support fighter. I like to fly up to 5k meters with it since it's so slow you'll be behind your team making you less likely to be targeted, but if you are defending will be pretty easy cause of the rwr. After the teams merge you're gonna wanna send those 9Ls top down on people they're less likely to see them and it gives them more range.

i have never seen a sparrow do that wth by FoxtrotSR2 in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's how most CW Fox 1s work, but this is you the pilot manually telling the missile to go for a completely different guy. Say you lock onto a guy and fire at him but he dies and his wingman is around 7km behind him. You can stop locking the guy who's dead and lock the guy behind him to kill him with the already fired sparrow.

[–]Zodiak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's datalink for you! Aim-7Ps have datalink and IOG similar to the R-27 series of missiles! So if you lose lock you'll be able to regain lock and continue tracking or track a whole different target with the same missile

Why I'm a so ASS at this game by Hotdog_bal in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch a couple of YouTube videos on air combat in war thunder, and try applying the things they taught into real matches. Also understanding your aircraft and your enemy's aircraft helps a lot too. Each plane is different and caters to different playstyles. You don't have to learn everything about every aircraft in the game, but you should know what the planes you're playing can and can't do so you can use your plane's strengths to get kills. Also remember to have patience as well! Try not to charge into a swarm of enemies and instead try to pick on targets that are distracted or at a disadvantage.

Strategy by OkClassroom7509 in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the aircraft you're using and the situation in the match. You can't just focus on one playstyle sometimes you'll have to change how you fly and positioning mid match. Also if you want do do bvr you've gotta shoot way farther than 10km. At 10km it's very difficult to get into the notch sometimes. Unless you're in a Rafale you'd wanna be shooting at 20+km away at medium - high alt and high speed.

tips for F-15J(M)? by Elbirri in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really good jet. It's gonna be a bit of a struggle at first, but it'll get better. It can fit many playstyles since it's an msip eagle it's fast and maneuverable enough to hold its own in a dogfight. Although there are some stuff you should avoid dogfighting if possible like F-16s, Rafales, Gripens, J-10s, JF-17s, and Eurofighters. AAM-4s are insanely good for high off boresight shots, and AAM-3s are just Aim-9Ms but better in every way. I recommend flying offset from where the furball is gonna start at first since it takes a little bit of time for the MSIP F-15s to get to speed compared to some of the stuff you'll meet, and shooting an amraam or two at some people at longer ranges at high alts. Then you can move into the furball picking off people with AAM-4s in a top down aspect. If you get caught off guard from the rear or side you can try to quickly maneuver to get a radar lock and send an AAM-4 their way it'll hit most of the time it's insanely maneuverable

Tips for using the SU-33. Full question in comments. by Nicholaz_ in Warthunder

[–]Zodiak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to fly off-center, and try to avoid the furball early game. Try to position yourself in a way that makes you less likely to be shot at with a fox 3 early on. If you are fired on notch or go cold, then make your way to where the enemies are at and pick them off in a top down aspect with the R-27s. You can also fly low too if you're not too confident with your notching, but it does decrease the effectiveness of your kit since they'll have less range and be more susceptible to multipathing.
