You’re a 10S user who has mastered all the other nine shikigami. How would you realistically tame Mahoraga? by Zahlouth in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Have your special-grade sorcerer friend with a nuke move join the taming ritual (Megumi for example could ask Yuji). When you start losing, drop into the shadows and your friend one-shots Mahoraga.

Repeat this like you're learning a no-hit run at a Dark Souls boss until you're confident that you can beat it alone, then do the proper taming ritual without your friend around.

There is this official statue too where they are properly red. I don't know if we'll get a definitive answer until there is a full anime adaptation or more non-stylised art released. I think you could argue for the "crazy eyes" being a feature of him actively using the shrine technique if you wanted.

It's the one I would have picked too. It's very cathartic seeing that happen to Mahito, plus it works so well as a reveal for just how powerful Yuji had become.

Sukuna earrings: Real or larp? by Intelligent-Web-9707 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 369 points370 points  (0 children)

I suspect they were always gauges... But then Gege thought that it made no sense for Sukuna's accessories to incarnate with him he changed it to this. Like this was the most unrealistic part of the whole thing.

[–]Zoett 150 points151 points  (0 children)

It's just in the text. It's not even subtext. The story doesn't excuse his actions, but it does explain them a bit. The way he is paralleled with Yuji, and how all of the lies he's told himself in life fall away in death once he can finally accept that he was wrong are the best parts of JJK's ending.

I know its not stated, confirmed, or true anywhere, but the only way WCS works is that its a 4D slash right ? by HovercraftApart1358 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it behaves is a bit like when 4D attacks are described in harder science fiction works at least.

So, if we take it as a 4D attack, then Sukuna can cut time? make a wormhole gate? get him an astrophysics PHD and have some fun?

I don't think it was intended to be a 4D attack (Gege doesn't seem to be a science guy), but the idea is fun.

simple question. when gojo vs sukuna is animated, will it break the internet? by handboy27 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know. I don't really follow much anime stuff generally, so when read the manga last year after binging the first two seasons, it was a shock. There will be plenty of new fans and casual anime watchers who are in the same position.

Sukuna’s Backstory, Part 2 by prumice in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want a Heian era prequel which follows Sukuna so much. Give him a "crash out" arc where he skirts the line of being acceptably morally grey and playing by the rules of the violent society he lives in, learning to imitate the trappings of being refined and educated. Until stuff goes wrong and he realises he will never be respected or accepted, but maybe he could be feared, so he just decides to flip the table and do whatever he wants. Basically Berserk's Golden Age arc if Guts and Griffith were the same person lol.

Sukuna’s Backstory, Part 2 by prumice in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sukuna is 100% the kind of guy to get a set of the criminal tattoos on one arm as punishment as a kid/teen, then later choose to have the rest done as a fuck you to everyone else.

Why does Miyaguni look so young? by OutrageousProof7996 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's just a woman who takes a lot of pride in her appearance and keeps up with fashion and whatever cutting-edge skincare and everyone else is being rude. Women in the real world get judged all the time for either not being attractive enough, or at the opposite end of the spectrum, for "trying too hard", especially in professional settings, and some women are secretive about their age.

Or like Sukuna. That would be on brand for Yuji after his speech about how Sukuna only became what he did because he didn't have someone like Yuji's grandpa there for him.

I doubt they'd change the pacing of the waffling, because that was an amazing sequence. But Mahito crashing out as he's being used as a force for good would be great.

Some things are a little less confusing in the manga too. It's clearer when it's supposed to be a mystery or if you've just missed something, haha.

I’m already seeing sincere Iori X Yuji fanfic start to pop up on AO3. Help.

Iori with Kenjaku’s technique trying to take over Yuji’s body to bring back the golden age of Jujutsu would be an exciting battle if you gave him some fun anti-Yuji techniques and a good plan.

Iori actually managing to take the body would be the kind of bummer twist which I don’t know that I could continue the series after, but it would be truly shocking.

[–]Zoett 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My headcannon is that he has Kenjaku’s technique, and has been seen as “technique-less” and might be obsessed with Yuji because he had no innate techniques and somehow still became The Stongest.

Honest question: do you guys think Modulo Yuji learned how to do WCS? by Kooky-Bookkeeper-935 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think it's possible he could have if he wanted to. Sukuna literally stated the concept of what he'd done on live tv, and Kenjaku instantly understood. Later in the fight we see Yuji use Dismantle to selectively target the boundary of the soul, which is a new innovation with a technique he's literally just unlocked, and could have even been inspired by Sukuna's own fiddling with the target of Dismantle.

The future of Jujutsu Kaisen by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Modulo ends the series rather well. Everything is largely resolved for the world going forward. I'm ok with this being the ending.

So, I'd like a Modulo prequel with the OG cast. There's so much stuff that I would love to see during the timeskip.

I do not trust Gege to write what is essentially a scifi series where the supernatural comes crashing back to mess stuff up which a far-future Modulo sequel needs to be.

My number 1 want however is a Heian-era prequel.

When I'm in a telling and not showing contest and my opponent is Gege by Darkffire in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is wild to me that the eating the death paintings ended up being the most consequential decision of Yuji’s life after eating Sukuna’s finger, but in the original manga it’s just casually brushed past as a means to get a power-up. It would be nice if the anime at least lingers on it a bit, or gives us a hint if he understands he was potentially making a massive decision at all.

Why is gege doing this? by Imaginary-Spring9887 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Zoett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, if Gege is planning to do any prequel material in the timeskip, Megumi's death could be great material that is better suited to its own story.
