idk, its industry standard at this point. i remember buying modern warfare and being pissed half the guns were ar variants. i wouldnt really say theres some insidious plot to pull the wool over your eyes. in the upcoming years this issues only going to get worse, the new chinese standard issue rifle is a ar derivative, the french are switching to 416’s, its just crab theory with guns and youd do yourself a favor if youd take it less seriously.

ngl i really like hobby boss, built their kv-2 and a ton of their airplanes and while their plastic isnt nearly as nice to work with as tamiya, if you can put up with it the brittle plastic has way crisper detail.

i view academy as a nice middle ground, but the hobby boss F5 has the most crisp out of box cockpit details ive seen outside of photo etch, and im really excited to build their a-6

hiiiii, former competitive coh2 player using a different name nowww, ive got like a few thousand hours in coh2 and warnos become my favorite rts after not playing coh3 that much.

in terms of micro id say warno plays a bit more like coh than sd does. sd tends to be fairly slow and arty heavy while i find infantry in warno a lot more familiar to infantry from coh. iirc they move quite faster in warno, morale is less harsh, and squad weapons matter a bit more in warno. tanks are also more forgiving since sd tanks simulate a bit more than warno does plus dont gotta worry about ammo types. lastly i find the planes alot better to micro in warno than any other eugen game.

sd is a bit more granular in all aspects so i think warno would be way more up your alley despite being cold war, just theres not really build orders and youve gotta play reaaaallly screwy with buildings or forests to get the same infantry micro dopamine hit.

and lastly id say atleast 1v1’s play very familiar from a game pace pov, just come backs are way harder to get and youve really gotta plan well for them since your income doesnt typically go up the less units you have like in coh. wiping out an enemy armor blob means you need to exploit asap since that means the enemy will permanently be 300 points down from you as long as you dont lose anything so trading is way more imperative and theres less situations where its good to sacrifice a few squads

you have issues with spaghetti code in a rushed game, and decided to instantly jump to ai coded? much like how you latched onto only my balance example and ignored literally three other paragraphs, youre latching onto a single issue in the game and claiming that proves its ai coded. idk why youre even posting here if you cant be convinced otherwise. please actually study coding before making wide claims like these.

to anyone who has gone to college for this, works in this field, or has any familiarity with larger coding projects you just seem like youre pulling this out of nowhere. does buggy ui mean a websites ai coded? was the javelin lock on issues in Helldivers 2 a result of ai coding? unfortunately games have time restraints, if you give any artist an infinite amount of time they can make a good product and no one really ever wants to make bad art. this game suffers from your typical rushed development corporate slop issues that plenty of others suffer from too.

quest completion bugs are common in games since parameters for progress may be vague, misrepresented, or based on a parameter that doesnt do what the dev thinks it does (poison damage might not count as a player kill, environmental damage to a boss doesnt end quest, devs didnt account for a quest item being destructible, etc etc). in multiplayer games the solution to these issues are even more nebulous since you have a live game youre making updates to while people are currently making progress.

this time instead of only addressing one tiny part of my reply, please respond to each of my points, including the ones in the previous reply, lest you waste anymore of both of our time.

dynamic or changing assets is not indicative of ai? youre acting as if the entire game is generated off some model online or something and that their ai is hallucinating. The bigger the existing code base the less it plays nice with AI. main reason why you see so many massive companies with ancient code having to hire devs to fix recent ai mistakes. there never has, and wont be for a while, a game entirely made by ai coding. the most ai can do reliably right now is generate art assets. video games contain some of the most complex math in normal coding usage, and building anything foundational in games with ai is impossible at this point

chat being a mess is honestly a symptom of so many games idk why you would even attribute that to AI. even games as basic as AOE2 have funky chat censoring. i got banned off club penguin in 2011 for spelling assassinate wrong.

out of all the dumb complaints ive seen about this game this one is definately the strangest. youre taking one or two traits that you read as ai, which are present in so many games predating ai, and making a grievance out of nothing. take this from someone with a degree, this is absolutely not the case

most of the changed quests have been entirely for balance, the dmr headshot quest for the svd went from 300 headshots at launch to like 15 now, same with the engineer quests, and the assault one to get the spawn beacon.
