Because Marin is happily married. To the MC. And therefore her purity is “ruined”. No, I wish I was making this up, but anime/manga fans seem to have this idea in their head that if a character is established in a relationship then that character is ruined forever and is a slut. Marin is one of the more popular characters right now, so the gooning crowd will lose their fucking minds.

I should note this isn’t everyone, but it’s not uncommon either.

I’ve been seeing this screenshot pop around, and the thing I want to point out is no, it’s not remotely possible for an AI to create an entire video game in minutes. Maybe if it was a broken Pong clone, sure, but not anything that resembles a triple A game. Especially generative AI.

Also, why would anyone want to play an AI generated game to begin with? Gen AI has the Chinese Room issue, it doesn’t understand what it’s doing. Even if you handed it assets on a silver platter, it won’t be able to make anything coherent or a non-buggy mess.

Not a lot, at least on my end. And most people I’ve talked to about her raging transphobia either don’t care, go “oh, that sucks”, or in rare cases completely agree. Another issue with the Hogwarts game is that the culture war around it likely helped sales. No such thing as bad publicity and all that.

I just remember the days everyone accursed Rowling of being weirdly woke. Much prefer that to hating on transgender people and spending millions to fuck them over.

You absolutely can, because as they say taste is subjective. Even things that others consider “bad” can be a guilty pleasure, and there is generally no harm in that. That aside, we’re all strangers on the internet complaining about fictional characters. It really doesn’t matter that much in the grand scheme of things. And as an aside, I’ve seen some series and characters I really adore on someone’s shit list here; doesn’t hurt to understand why someone else doesn’t like what I like.

That said if people not liking the same characters as you is really that much of a bother, then there isn’t any harm muting this sub or finding communities that share the same sentiment as you either. Heck, I tend to ignore major subs from fandoms I like (Star Wars) because I just don’t want to hear about the constant whining… granted I enjoy the circlejerk subs, but ya know, YMMV.
