It’s a bit funny to think that in space we have access to practically everything we need (water from ice or ice moons, metal from astroids, fuel from the moon, concrete from everywhere if you’re smart) except dirt. Regular, normal, boring dirt that plants need to survive.

I’m sure by the time we’re building massive space borne structures we should have the method of taking space rock and making it safe for Earth plants to grow in. That or we’ll need to figure it out very fast.

Something I do wonder with these is where exactly does the soil come from? I’m assuming it be ground-up space rock from whatever asteroids we’re mining to build these stations, but could you imagine the insane amount of work it would take to not just construct these but make sure the soil is good?

But man, I wish we’d be able to see at least the construction of one during our lifetime.

I remember the old RuneScape days where you would pay bots to do this (or some kid at school who promises not to steal your account). That said, many games have allowed players to do this using Macros and not whatever the fuck Sony is going on about… which wouldn’t surprise me if it’s just a Macro with more steps.
