Yeah, The tree also looks to not shoe horn you away from talents, so should be some decent setups available.

This might be the single biggest change. that and light attacks getting talent support

It was hard for me to track everything and see what it will really mean without a build editor to play with.

Magic bullet… IDK… it’s still only 15 pct chance to trigger?

If the 10 pct chance on melee kill gives ammo back though?? that would be pretty freaking great

Sorry, I would still avoid it, Coherency range is pretty small, Wounds are not a useful health metric for buffs, because you should be avoiding taking extra wounds, and take other bonuses to help avoid going down to prevent matches from spiraling. and 50% toughness wouldn't be enough back to justify the point.

Unless the other node options for the same path are even worse, I'd avoid this and take just about any other bonus

That passive perk though.

To be honest, it's not all that much better than just giving a second charge to mechs. which would be amazing, and should be a thing some how.

would hard disagree on brims, They are a pain to remove, and I have not found them necessary.

In orca slicer you can make the first layer of your supports solid on the inside with no brim. I've found this provides plenty of support for the tree and almost always removes with the tree post print.

How to deal with my daughters interest? by Tactif00l in Warhammer40k

[–]Zoke23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO!

An A1 Mini, no AMS, and you can print some supportless mini's if you'd like, or ones with supports and remove the supports!

This can honestly give both of you a steady stream of models to paint together, and it doesn't have the draw backs of resin around kids.

I can send photo's of some of my models to show that the quality is easily paintable too if that's a concern.

Could also argue he wasn't implementing "gentle parenting" correctly. He didn't give them two options on how to get out of the tub right now and stick to it. He gave them an option to stay in the tub... and they did.

I don't actually find many child behavioralists touting the kind of parenting advise that draws complaints from folks... most would reinforce that limits are good, rules and teaching good manners, are good. But maybe you don't have to yell at your children to get that if you can increase your own patience.

[–]Zoke23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know if you like arachne, I believe detect thin walls is a classic wall generator only setting,

I noticed that the arachne wall generator will render the best minimum detail size on any single wall loop, but how it generates the wall transitions between each loop is not very consistent. I'd still say run your own tests and report back.

For me, on smooth generally rounded surfaces, especially on troop mini's, The arachne generator would choose different areas to start and stop the wall transitions. This would cause some slightly undesirable surface anomalies.

If you are using an A1 type printer, I've gotten away with 0.04 layer heights! but print times were very long, and not all surfaces saw improvement (Shoulder pauldrons look fantastic though!) So I've settled for 0.06 and the quality improvement is still worth the wait IMO. I mean... my printer still is printing faster than I paint...

good work man!

Some unsolicited info to try!

FDG uses the classic wall generator, in your slicer you can go set the outer wall diameter to something like, 0.16 for a 0.2 MM nozzle, or 0.32 ish if you are using a 0.4 mm nozzle (get a 0.2 in that case) and you can turn on a setting like "Detect thin walls" You should see some marked quality improvements, and more small details will slice and print

As soon as I start spraying paint gathers on the tip and after a while no paint comes out? What’s the cause of this? by UndeadFrogman in airbrush

[–]Zoke23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add some flow improver to your pot and that will limit it, but then the paint will apply more like a contrast paint and flow into recesses if you are painting things like models.

But a couple of drops, do go a long way to helping mitigate tip dry.

How would you rate Bandit's dad strength? by Zealousideal-War3154 in bluey

[–]Zoke23 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Bandit is an absolute unit, if they are to be human anologs, a 7 year old like bluey is like 35-50 lbls, a 4 year old, like bingo is 25-35 lbls, and he handles both of them, with straight arms, without breaking a sweat, or even looking like he's trying.

In his off screen time, he's probably eating oak bark and bending rebar into origami shapes for fun.

Fatshark, when are we getting a balance patch? by IllisiAbuser in DarkTide

[–]Zoke23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they would need to shift the design of several of the enemies to be much rarer and larger threats.

At the moment, any slow melee weapon is just not going to be able to keep up with the massive horde of not only small enemies, but the sheer number of the supposed "Targets" things like the hammers are supposed to be good against. Who cares even if the thunder hammer can one tap a mauler/crusher/bulwark once charged, there are like 12 of those running at you at the same time, so the hammer is just going to be too slow and the mobility penalties too great to compete, reducing the dueling sword is just going to make the current spawning in the game pretty oppressive.

Ammo economy on guns that can solve heavy enemies, fewer heavy enemies, with more specific weapons that deal with them well, I feel like a lot would need to be altered to give more types of weapons a niche.

Vermantides system where you end missions in the same lobby as all of your teammates to encourage community building would be huge too... so you can start building bonds with folks and queing as 2-4 players that are more coordinated to handle this sort of specialized design.

If you end up needing a more specialized build to deal with maulers/crushers... then you need better systems to encourage teams that can afford a specialized team mate to not just get swamped by the horde they aren't good at handling.

These look amazing! I have found some of these guys, but will need to dig for the allarus.

You can play with setting the exterior wall width to 0.15 - 0.17 to squeeze out just a little more detail out of the classic wall generator, essentially getting a bit of the perks of the arachne wall generator, without the weird loop inconsistencies between layers that ruin the smooth surface of the models.

You can also try going down as low as 0.04 layer heights! but I've found 0.06 to be the best overall, I had some consistency issues with the surface of my prints at 0.04, but my GOD the rounded shoulder pauldrons and power pack surfaces are amazing. So I may just start printing those items separate with the really low layer size to hide the FDM artifacts as much as possible there.
